There seems to be a horrible lack of situational awareness with this staff. And it starts at the top IMO. Wondering how many times Wilks plans on talking about "Teachers" and "DNA" but then goes out there and puts his players in the worst situation possible.

We're gonna need more bricks

Yeah and instead he threw two pics and looked terrible. This isn't the movies. It was a dumb decision given the timing.

The interception wasn’t anymore significant than an incompletion would’ve been. It actually lost Chicago field position had he just dropped it. He forced a ball on 4th down as he was about to get it hit. Bad throw yes but let’s not be overly dramatic here.

Let the Rosen era begin. It doesn’t matter what happens this season other than Rosen being ready for next year. Let him learn and get all the experience he can. It would be nice to see us win some games to.

It'll help engage him and get him hungrier to come back better next year.

It was freaking AWESOME. The total vibe in the stadium was hype.

And that's why they put him in this week instead of last. I was all about throwing him out there last week to see what would happen. Bradford was a mess. Was he a mess today? Second half, yes. I fully feel they were playing to the crowd and I wonder whose call it REALLY was to put him in there with four to go.

All that said, I'm glad he finally got on the field. He looked a ton sharper and more confident than Bradford. Wilks would be a fool to pull him off now and name Bradford the starter next week.

for once I actually appreciated the media restraint. the guys on nfln have been calling for Josh from day one... they posted a flashing tickertape on the bottom of the screen when he came in the game...a couple of the guys let out a whoop...

but then it didnt go well.

and they were silent.

I thought that was cool. rather than bash a bit on a kid who was thrown into a bad situation,...they just let it drop

Even the heaviest kool aid drinker could not put any blame on Rosen for that performance

I'm pretty sure the plan was to insert Rosen much earlier. Bradford had a great start to the game though and therefore got a longer leash.

At least Rosen has the mental strength to shake it off.

Agreed. Rosen should play. However playing your rookie QB for THE FIRST TIME with4:30 left in a game, sorry that is idiotic. I actually cannot remember a move that dumb by a Cardinals coaching staff, ever, and that is saying something.

Az, no one will ever convince me that you are wrong on this. I clapped like a lunatic when Rosen got in the game, but at the same time, I told my boys who watched the game with me that this was the wrong move. Everyone of them, all eagles fans, asked me what the hell Wilks was doing there. It was a blatant overreaction, plain and simple. This was a fully winnable game and our "coaching staff" threw it the hell away.

Rosen was put in a difficult situation and he knew it. The INT was two fold. He had to get it out or else take a sack and was hit as he was throwing it. I can live with that one. I do not believe anything that happened in this game will affect Rosen mentally. What needs to happen is for Wilks to name Rosen the starter so he can get the reps he needs this week in practice and to get the team behind him knowing full well Rosen is the new starter. Naming Rosen as the new starter should instill some new life into a team that would probably have whatever life it has sucked out of it if Wilks messes around and does something like we will monitor practices and see who shows better for the next game.

McCoy's play calling is a atrocious. I have no clue why he went away from what was working so well early on. No QB is going to play well as long as McCoy is calling the plays.

Our horrible offense isn’t all on McCoy let’s be real.

Bradford has been ever bit as bad as his OC!!!

Almost 12 Quarters of Bradford and 3 TDs to show for it.Hell yes it was time to add some life to this dead offense and listless team.I am sure Rosen will have mant good plays and many Head-scratchers but it seems pretty offense Bradford is a shell of what he once was.Too many hits. Now let Rosen get his chance and if he shows he can be the QBOF it is great.I not then at least you have some idea what he can do and/if you need to consider QB in next draft also.

Yep. I don't blame Rosen at all on the INT. He was put in a terrible situation of 4th and 5. So taking a sack or throwing the ball away gives you no shot of the first down. He had to make a throw. With the pressure coming from Rosen's left I think he threw the ball to the correct receiver. The problem was the out route that Kirk ran was a banana route.

Watch a replay of the video. Kirk starts his break around the 37 for the out route and rounds his break to the 32. That allows the DB to get underneath the route and pick the ball:

Talking heads bashing the Cards and in particular, Wilks for the timing of it. They were questioning his situational awareness in the game. I agree 100%.

Their reasoning behind it is they dont want the rookie becoming rattled. I tend to believe that wont hinder the smart cerebral type QBs as much as it does some QBs. I think Josh is smart enough to learn from these types of situations in games and use it going forward.

They also pointed out how he shrugged it. Comparing it to Aaron Rodgers type of attitude.

I myself think there is no way in hell you go back to Bradford. Rosen must be the starter from here on no question. Also Adam Schefter thinks cards should cut Bradford and save 5mil or so. I also agree.

Bradford sucks as he always has. Had one decent year and some were fooled just as the Cardinals were that he was a serviceable QB.

The Rosen era has begun
