ASU lands 5 Star Recruit
https://www.houseofsparky.com/2017/...tar-sg-luguentz-dort-commits-to-arizona-state

In arguably the most impressive recruitment of the Bobby Hurley era, five-star shooting guard Luguentz Dort committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils Wednesday night during the “Midnight Madness” event at the Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound shooting guard from Athletic Institute Prep is rated as the No. 3 shooting guard in his class, No. 6 recruit from Florida and the No. 30 overall prospect for 2018, according to 247Sports.

Dort is rated a five-star recruit by ESPN and a four-star in the eyes of Rivals and 247Sports. He held offers from top programs in Oregon, Baylor, UConn, Indiana, Florida and Michigan State, among many others.

Never heard of Longwood. Is that where Beavis and Butthead finally ended up?

Yet another very slow start to the game... This is now a disturbing trend that continually forces this team to overcome sluggish starts... They will need to fix this is they want to truly compete in the PAC-12...

Reporting in from the Bandwagon! Fun game tonight! Super slow and sloppy first half but man the place was rocking in the 2nd. These guys are really likable and there was clearly renewed focus and effort in defense tonight.

Shot terribly, missed a bunch of free throws but they forced 26 turnovers.

My favorite part of the game was the ASU cheerleaders...

Oh I’m sorry that’s a typo what I meant was that my favorite part of the game was the Pokémon shakeweight curtain of distraction lol.

Also, I dont know all the details of the contract, but I've been to ASU games in the past that were like a morgue... ASU HAS to do whatever they have to do to keep Bobby Hurley like they absolutely cannot let this chance to build a special program slip away. I've never seen that building have that much energy and it was Tuesday night against Longwood (who?) It wasn't sold out, but it was about 75% and the energy in the 2nd half was awesome!

Tickets for ASU - UofA game are upwards of $2K, and close to $200 for the cheap seats. First time both teams have been ranked and played eachother since 1995.

Wish the game was in Tempe... and I really wish the Devils had already lost a game (not jinxing the game tomorrow against Pacific!!!).
Anyway, I think it's safe to say that if ASU gets off to yet another slow start, I just don't see them being able to overcome it down in Tucson. But, if the game is close at the half, I really, REALLY like their chance to pull out the W!

You know the Wildcats will be fired up and their house will be roaring. I am gonna say Arizona by at least 8. Hopefully I am wrong.

Can’t be any worse than Kansas.
