Living here in Chicago I have a pretty good feel for what Bear fans think of the 2015 version of their team.

The thing they are clinging to right now is hope because it's the beginning of the season. They played pretty well against the Packers which kept the crowd into it and they were able to keep the game close with a ball control game plan.

Forte's running and receiving was their key to success. The Packers ALWAYS try to make Cutler beat them with his arm because sooner or later he makes a mistake or two...or three.

The fans here are just waiting to boo. They know it's coming it's just a matter of time.

If we can get an early turnover and not allow the Bears to get in a groove the fans will turn on them. I believe our D is a bit better than the Packers. We will have to play better D than we did last week but we are not going up against Drew Brees.

The Bears will try once again to utilize Forte to the fullest extent as well as Bennett, their TE. Peterson needs to keep Jeffries covered and not allow a big play.

Offensively, we need to exploit perhaps the worst back 7 in all of football. Don't worry to much about " we need to run the ball". That will come a little later in the game. Fitz should have a HUGE game and we know Smokey will get a couple of chances for big plays. Hit one of those, lean on Fitz, play good special teams, don't turn the ball over.

The result will be a 2-0 start.

Your assessment makes a lot of sense. Hopefully we will have taken a hard look at the way we allowed Brees to exploit the use of their running game and their screen passes in order to produce a whopping 400 plus yards of offensive football. Film study of that game could go very far toward reducing the effectiveness of Forte against our defense.

Are you going to be able to make it to the meet and greet on Saturday? CBUS, OKCARDSZONA (GREG), and I are heading to Mother Hubbards sports bar. We are meeting up around 3:00 PM, hope to see you and Dan there.

Smoke em in the first quarter, then when they adjust to JB12's speed, destroy them in the middle with Fitz and Floyd, then run their faces off in the end.

Sounds like a gameplan to me.

BTW, can we run a WR screen to JB12 just so we can say we have a smokescreen?

For me it will be a scotch and a brat...and a few cigars....:D

Trying to work things out at work and meet you guys at Mother Hubbards. My son Dan can't make it because of a family commitment.

Would love to see all you guys. Dan and I are booked for the Monday Night Ravens game. We'll be there from Friday the 23rd and leaving on Tuesday morning. We'll talk more about that as the time nears. Definitely need to hook up for Sundays games and Monday tailgating!

Keep your fingers crossed for Saturday. Is there reservations for Saturday and if so under who's name?

Not too far off the mark.

Smokey is a destructive weapon...he can't be contained. Once you concede to his speed, everything else is wide open everywhere.

Hahahaha------------you can't set the tone any earlier than a 108 yard return of the opening kick-off for a touch down. Great penalty free blocking by the Special Teamers, and of course a magnificent run by David Johnson. That is as good as it gets!!!!

Great calls. You're right on the Bears fans too. After the pick 6, they were done. Hell, many were done after KO return. They have no faith in Cutler whatsoever.

A friend of mine from the Air Force lives in Colorado and is a huge Bears fan. This week I texted him that the Cards were playing the Bears. He responded as long as the Bears have Cutler as QB the Bears are toast. He basically gave up after Cutler threw the pick six. Then after Cutler went down to injury he reallt started going off on him. Said he is made of glass and etc.
