Living here in Chicago I have a pretty good feel for what Bear fans think of the 2015 version of their team.
The thing they are clinging to right now is hope because it's the beginning of the season. They played pretty well against the Packers which kept the crowd into it and they were able to keep the game close with a ball control game plan.
Forte's running and receiving was their key to success. The Packers ALWAYS try to make Cutler beat them with his arm because sooner or later he makes a mistake or two...or three.
The fans here are just waiting to boo. They know it's coming it's just a matter of time.
If we can get an early turnover and not allow the Bears to get in a groove the fans will turn on them. I believe our D is a bit better than the Packers. We will have to play better D than we did last week but we are not going up against Drew Brees.
The Bears will try once again to utilize Forte to the fullest extent as well as Bennett, their TE. Peterson needs to keep Jeffries covered and not allow a big play.
Offensively, we need to exploit perhaps the worst back 7 in all of football. Don't worry to much about " we need to run the ball". That will come a little later in the game. Fitz should have a HUGE game and we know Smokey will get a couple of chances for big plays. Hit one of those, lean on Fitz, play good special teams, don't turn the ball over.
The result will be a 2-0 start.
