I take offense to that. I picked Arsenal as my team only because I had a shirt from them years ago (before I knew anything about the EPL).

I wasn't implying that all fans of the top 4 clubs are front runners. Just Mulli. :D

As for Barca, man I love that team! Eto'o is freakin' blowing up! I'm so glad they didn't sell him.

I will follow Engrish's example and root for Sundy. Engrish is my hero, and the MVP.

haha

two big home games for us coming up WEst ham this week and Bolton next - would take 4 points just to get us above the group at the bottom (4 pints cover about ten teams).

Chelsea away for you lot....not won there for 22 years.... Prob means you get a result :)

Sorry but Keane is too good for Sunderland......

Too good! Not the way most are thinking at the moment.

As a manager he is learning he trade and is going through a tough time at the moment. I guess the manure shirt on your avatar means i dont have to jump down your throat about your comment, just take what you say with a pinch of salt.

hah... i like Keane a GREAT deal and i wouldn't mind him taking over for AF in 3 years.. so in that respect i want to see him do well... but it seems that the team has given up on him and that is why I think Sunderland doesn't deserve Keane the same way Tott'ham didn't deserve Jol or Newcastle deserve Allardyce...

I would really hate to see him walk away though and get a label of a quitter like Keegan......

ugh... just saw that too... he did take you guys from the cellar of championship and bring you to the big show so for that i would be grateful.... wonder what is in store for him next...

Former Newcastle United and Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is the bookies' early favourite to become the new manager at the Stadium of light.

It's a bit of a surprise, but probably for the best. Keane did a good job in the Championship and a decent job last season keeping Sunderland up, but the team has massively underachieved this season. Keane has had carte blanche from the board so the blame lands 100% at his feet.

When you look at the squad, Cisse, Malbranque, Diouf, Reid, Ferdinand, McCartney, Richardson etc. there's no way they should be struggling like they are.

You also have to question some of his lineup decisions (starting Waghorn at Chelsea?) and his continuing to stick with Championship-caliber players like Collins and Whitehead.

Good luck, Roy. He laid a good foundation, but another manager is needed to get the club to the next level, IMO.

Man, we're above you in the table now, and we have less turmoil...zoiks, that's a turnaround! Sorry to see you guys in the drop zone (I want to keep you up to kick you around lol), but not sorry to see you guys hurting in form like you are. Have fun!

Newcastle are ahead of Sunderland on goal differential only, and Sunderland actually have more wins.

You want to "kick Sunderland around"? Hmmm. Who won the last Wear-Tyne derby, Stout?

I wouldn't break my arm patting myself on the back if I were you. The Skunks have plenty of work left to do this season.

No doubt we do. Doesn't matter who has more wins, though. It's goal differential, and you aren't closing that gap any time soon. I usually don't revel in the misery of others, but seeing how kind everyone else was when we were in full-blown turmoil, I figured turnaround was fair play :D

no doubt Man U escaped this one... kinda hard when only one team tries to win....

Man Utd ended up taking a chance and put Vidic up top leaving Rio in the back by himself and was rewarded... heck Van der Sar was playing basically a "sweeper-keeper" type position.....
