Seb larrson and Westwood signed up.

Good start.

I don't know Westwood, but I personally never preferred Larrson. We were interested in him, I know, but every time I saw him, he stunk. Then again, maybe it was just the brilliance of our team that blinded him that kept him from being any good :D

Eh, probably a decent signing for you guys.

Minus one huge loss, remember. Was it Henderson? Can't remember the kid's name. Just had to remind ya of that ;)

Was never as enamored of him as some. His form really tailed off the second half of last season. Personally, I think most of the hand-wringing was derived from him being a local product.

I had never heard of him myself. Of course, I only watch Newcastle games, and I didn't get to see any of the derby games.

...or England!?!

He was/is a real talent with massive potential. It's that potential and the fact the he is English (rules on squads and national players) that drives tue price up.

Gardener looks like it will come off. 10 goals from midfield last year could be a real bonus if he can get anywhere near the same for us. Still waiting on the an utd trio too.

I would love n'zogbia but I think he might go back to the skunks!

Nope, I don't watch England's games either. Sorry. I understand that he's a big signing, I just don't have personal knowledge of it. A knock on me, not him.

I don't think we're getting N'zogbia. I'd put the odds really against that. The club wants too much, and our midfield is really clogged with talent at the moment. We need another striker and some defensive help. Hopefully we land Erdinc (sp?) in the next day or so.

Midfield clogged with talent, i know you mean it but it
did make me laugh

Yeah, with Guttierez, Ben Arfa, Barton, Cabaye, Tiote, Marveaux, I think we'd have a hard time adding another starter at midfield. Laugh all you like, but our midfield is definitely better than Sunderland's at the moment. And clogged with talent, like it or not.

I stopped reading at Guttierez ;-)

Okay, just another knuckle-dragging kitten fan trying to get a rise out of someone. Oh, I guess this makes it okay ;)

You are wrong. I am right. You are jealous. Oh, and to make it right: :)

Humour bye-pass today Stout lad? Not like you to be honest.

These untested lads you have bought might be great, who knows!?! But Jonas is a poor premier league player i don't care what you say. Barton is on fire so you need to hope he doesn't do a Nolan. Tiote is a gem, never said anything but.

Jealous of a smaller team...that would be a first for me!!

Keano left a while back mate.

Great signing, the big boys sniffing about too.

Perfect fit for both parties I would say. Massive money and I would have loved to have seen Hendo still here but if we have swapped him for Wickham, gardner, Seb, Westwood and Ji then we have made a good start to the transfer window.
Keano not at Ipswitch? Oopsy.

Yeah they got Paul Jewell in about half way through the season. Ipswich bought Chopra last week for 1.5 which pretty much paved the way for the Wickham sale. Funnily enough we were owed about that much be Cardiff from when the bought Chopra so it basically got passed on to us.

No, being stubborn in the face of a point is not excused by humor here. We have assembled a high-quality midfield. Did you see Ben Arfa before he went down to that violent tackle? He was blazing. Jonas, a poor Premier League player? You sure you don't want to withdraw that one? 'Cause it sounds silly. Cabaye is proven, and Marveaux as well, although Marveaux is coming off injury.

Sorry mate, but we have a solid midfield...not sure why you can't admit that. I know we definitely need another striker and more defensive help to be a real Premiership threat, but our midfield looks good.

Oh, and smaller team? English, we may be able to argue who is better right now, for certain...Newcastle isn't back by any stretch yet...but they are a massive club, and Sunderland isn't. Sorry bro. Facts is facts.

You have a solid midfield, i have never said that you dont and i sure my previous posts will show that. 'Stacked with talent' or whatever it was was made me laugh.

Your players are unproven in the Premier league, sorry didnt make that clear. Ben Arfa looks the bees knees, i am not going to rake through old posts but i doubt i would have ever said any different.

As for Sunderland/Newcastle... Sunderland have a better past and better present, you need to get over this massive club thing that surrounds every mag i have ever met and nobody else.

You had a great 10 year spell about under Keegan first time round when football exploded in this country under Sky TV money....fair play to you for that. It was a hard time being a Sunderland fan when we had the complete opposite of a chairman to you guys and were stuggling yoyoing at the time.

The only reason I say that we're a massive club (not successful, mind you--big difference) is that so many people not connected with or rooting for the team refer to it that way. Players, coaches, fans of other teams, they all say it.

By massive you mean "have a lot of fans"? Who cares? So do the Cowboys and Lakers...
