* Trade Booker which should have good value
* Trade Durant which will get minimal returns given his age and extension needs
* Let Butler rot until his contract expires, which I guess is no worse than letting Beal rot until his contract expires

I don't think we can stretch/waive until the Nasir Little stretch/waive expires.

I guess from that aspect having Butler isn't materially worse than Beal, and possibly marginally better as there's no NTC to contend with.
Having butler is worse. He is 4 years older, and he is known to raise hell when he isn’t happy.

I would argue he doesn’t look to the future or the past only the present.

There is absolutely no planning beyond this season or he would not be making this move.

Mat Ishbia did not become successful by a failure to plan.

I'm sure he has a bigger vision of the Suns than we do.

Butler can play any position, from shooting guard to power forward. This is an exciting possibility.

Then, say the Suns attach a first round pick and trade Nurkic for a better center.

Suddenly, the Suns are a much stronger team, at least on paper. Also remember, expiring contracts will have value down the road.

No team has an open window forever.
How is it exciting to you?

Did you already forget yesterdays game?

This team needs a hell of a lot more than another backup center and jimmy butler.

BS. Every move he has made since he took over shows he cares nothing about the future at least when it comes to running an nba team.

getting rid of all draft picks is certain death for any nba team. All stars either come from drafting them or trading for them using draft picks.

I'm excited because I remember the game yesterday all too well. Changes need to be made.

Now we can disagree about the changes.

Btw, Jimmy Butler and a starting center would do wonders for this team, although I would look at other moves as well. I'm not sold on one particular trade.

I'm sure a lot of fans can conjure up better trades than Butler.

I think the Milwaukee trade is better for Phoenix. Beal for Middleton & Portis.

That gives us a legit 4/5 off the bench in Portis and Middleton is a legit 3 to play alongside Booker and KD.

That may not be as exciting as Butler but it makes us better. Not to mention the Budenholzer connection with Khris and Portis.

Maybe you should wait for the completed picture before judging.

I wouldn't have made the trade for Durant as constructed, but I'm willing to see if there are other roads leading to the same destination.

I'm not sure if this trade is on the table, but if Middleton and Portis were available for Beal, this would be a great get.

I've heard Middleton to Miami, Beal to Milwaukee, and Butler to Phoenix. Salary doesn't quite line up so Milwaukee needs to add more and can once they find a way under the second apron, which is why they're trying to dump Pat Connaghton now.

I'll be pissed if Miami ends up with Middleton and Portis since those are pieces we could use more than Butler.

I'm not sure if this was posted, but Bradley Beal would reportedly would waive his no trade clause if traded to the Bucks.

I am hoping if Butler is the target, that they ALREADY have a second deal for Nurkic done. This has to be a whole reimaging.

All I can say is meeting with the brass.. I been pushing to trade with the Bucks. It would be Beal for Middleton, Portis and Wright.

Also working on trading Nurk..

Trying to convince the top brass this is the way to go. Butler doesn't put us over the hump. Build around Book and KD with a strong bench and role players for now while still having draft picks to build for the future.

By talking to the brass I mean me talking to the guy on the grill and waitress at the Waffle House and all the stuff I said is what I would like to happen.

Gambo knew something. He was dancing around this on the show today but wouldn't come out and say it. That is not coincidence.

"The Suns are acquiring the least favorable firsts in 2025 of Cleveland/Minnesota, 2027 of Cleveland/Minnesota/Utah and 2029 of Cleveland/Minnesota/Utah, sources said."

"The aggressive approach by the Suns unlocks their next six drafts and breaks up their lone tradable first in 2031 into three firsts. For 2025, the Suns are likely to have Cleveland's first-round pick."

This means the Butler trade is going down. The Suns are sending a multi-first package for Butler. Just wait.

Ah, this makes sense. Crazy. Unlocking the other picks is kind of genius and a mad scientist way. Of course now with all the swaps I will never have any idea what pick we have in any draft. Or we are going to trade them all right now and I’ll never have to worry about the draft ever again.

I’ll say this, from a personnel and deal making perspective ishbia is never a dull moment.

I like this trade if it means no Jimmy. The Suns were never making their own pick in 2031 so they got closer picks which are important lifelines since we’re over the apron. If they aren’t moved we’ll have a reason to care about the draft.

Gambo said it makes no sense to send these 3 picks to Miami for Butler considering that the Suns thought the 2031 was too much to ask for to get Butler. If you were going to send all 3 to Miami, you might as well have just sent the 2031.

It appears these 3 picks might be for multiple moves.
That makes sense to me. When I first heard it I thought “ why do this deal and then butler deal? Just send the 2031 to Miami.”
