Credit the Blazer's TV announcers on NBA League Pass. They spent a good couple of minutes talking about what a nice team the Suns are and will be with more practice, and how silly it is for Suns fans to bail so early on the team.

They both mentioned how much they would love it if the Suns talent were on the Blazers (and Portland has a great future with young talent).

Basically, they said the Suns have a couple of Hall of Famers with game left (Shaq, Nash, maybe Hill, etc)...and they will figure it out and be a threat in the playoffs.

So, some outsiders with a nice young team say to all of us...chill out! :)

Yeah, the Blazers commentators are some of the more professional guys in the league. They're also pretty entertaining when they want to be. They had some funny comments during the Blazers-Celtics game a week or two ago.

The Celtics kept getting superstar calls, and they were saying things like:

"Well maybe the Blazers should just stop playing and get their autographs instead?"

"Glen 'Big Baby' Davis checks in the game. Height: I dunno. Weight: Like 460, 470 pounds..."

:D

Yeah - Blazer TV commentators are MUCH better then most other teams I've heard (besides Suns announcer - Al McCoy being the greatest of course).

Actually giving credit to another team playing well...gasp!

I know it's the Blazers but i've got to give D'Antoni some credit for having the SUNS ready to execute and compete tonight.

Agreed - apparently they actually practiced the last couple days. Amazing what that can do.

Oh, and playing defense with some energy. At least there is pride under the lethargy of the last few games.

Going to be an interesting rest of the season...and great playoffs!

LMAO - sorry - one last thing on the announcers. They closed the half talking about the 'weak suns fans who will jump back on the bandwagon'.

Pretty funny when another team's color guys are talking trash about our fans loyalty.

Watching the game with one eye while working. What has changed about the Suns? Why are they doing so well?

Barbosa just fouled someone to stop an easy layup... nice. Keep it up. Make it tough for them!
That's one of the things I like about Barbs. He will always sacrifice his body to stop a layup, even if it's a fast break and he's trailing behind. He is not afraid of contact.

Nash didn't handle the ball as much as used be and we were smooth on offense throughout. Giricek looks like a vet he supposed to be and smart on both ends of the court. Amare stayed back one time against p-n-r and we stopped their play easily. Keep the great work up!

Transition defense has been there all night so far, and we've been taking care of the paint. Roy is gonna get his, but as long as we keep everyone else cold, we should be alright for the 2nd half

The worst are the Jazz guys. During the Mavs-Jazz game the other night, I swear I saw Matt Harpring literally throw a sideways elbow into the head of Dirk Nowiztski while the two were fighting for a rebound. It was about the most blatant, flagrant-worthy thing I've seen in a while, and it dropped the 7-foot German to the floor in an instant. Not only was it dismissed as a "bad call" by the Jazz color man, but the local TV affiliate refused to even show a replay of the sequence. In fact, the Jazz television affiliate does not show the Jazz doing ANYTHING wrong, ever. If a foul is called on one of the Jazz players (as unlikely as that is when they play at home), they will simply cut to earlier action in which a player of theirs did something good. It's pretty much the most terrible thing to see on television, ever.

That's because they log onto sites like this one and read about all the doom and gloom after just one home loss. ;)

And in other news, Lakers down by 5 at the half to Sacramento.

A Lakers loss and a Suns win would be pretty sweet. The Suns would have a great shot at winning the Pacific Division again after all. :D

An offense that doesn't rely solely on Nash is dangerous because it keeps him fresh throughout the game and raises the confidence of the other players.

I heard that and was pretty livid. I've never heard the Suns announcers rag on another team's fans.

My only concern is that Shaq still doesnt have that bounce in his step on offense. He has very little lift on his shot and is not getting high enough to jam it in. I guess O'Neal forgot his walker

what's wrong with O'neal? 4-7 from the FT? :D

Anyway, it's a good thing we have a 19 point lead huh?

I think that's the focus of the Suns Docs now, so I see that, at the playoffs, Shaq's legs would be fine. I hope.

In a van...down by the river.
Obviously it'd be prime to be able to enter the 4th qtr with a healthy lead tonight to get the starters some rest for the Denver Dingleberry's tomorrow night....not to mention get the "Gears of War-o-check" integrated.
