What a game. Suns sure know how to make these games against lottery teams interesting.

Frye with two game winners in two nights. Suns win two OT games in two nights.

Nash had a poor game, and that foul was really stupid. I know he was trying to foul him early but he should have wrapped him up hard in that case. But even superstars make mistakes. Also, Morrow hit two clutch threes to put the Nets in that situation. Suns are lucky to have won after letting Morrow score 9 points in the closing minutes of regulation.

Brooks had 8 points and 3 assists in six fourth quarter minutes where Suns outscored Nets 17-13. Overall, without Nash the Suns outscored Nets 33-28. Big improvement, especially offensively.

well, it's official. this team does nothing for me anymore. i'm home recovering from jaw surgery and have watched back to back buzzer beating wins and neither of those wins even perked me up the least little bit. didn't even lead me to pump my fist or anything. my mom, who doesn't even like basketball, was more excited than i was.

that sucks.

That was the worst victory ever!

Alvin Gentry is an idiot. At least he coached this game like one. Nash is in the game for DEFENSIVE PURPOSES?? CARTER AND LOPEZ START THE GAME??!!!! What the ****!!!!!!!!

And Nash please son, don't ever shoot late in games. You haven't been clutch since 07.

Talking about clutch...how about that FRYE!!!!??? I was arguably his biggest hater but I'm loving the guy now. However his defensive and rebounding intensity level was very low tonight.

I hope our team isn't satisfied with the victory and realizes A LOT of things were WRONG! But it was mainly Gentry's fault so players can't do much...

coach almost killed us yesterday and today. i think we can just leave VC out if he's not on in the 1st qtr. some questionable substitutions and lineups out there tonight.

I think alot of the weird lineups tonight had to do with some exhausted starters.

Maybe it could be the meds?

I guess the Suns will have to make games even more exciting for you. :D

Is he better than Dragic + pick?

I say yes as well. Dragic was not playing well and the draft pick was probably going to end up being a project PF anyway.

100% agree with you here. Lopez had no business being in a close game in OT. Period. That almost cost us the game.

100% disagree with you here. If Frye isn't open, I am letting Nash take the last shot. He hits plenty of big shots every single year. Most of them are daggers to put teams away but he is still clutch IMO.

Stupid execution down the stretch as well. Frye taking the dunk with 7.5 seconds left. He could have dribbled out and run out the clock. Nash fouling on a three point shot, Nets make 3 free throws and we go to OT. Before that, (I think) Grant Hill fails to get the ball thrown in. Lots of boneheaded plays.

Gentry did sub in Gortat and Dudley, in OT, but it was later than he should have, I agree.

Here's the big stat of the night though. The bench scores 64 points, outscore the starters. AB's presence on the court was a big part of that.

there's no way in the world the games can be entertaining enough to endure the eventual ****-kicking we'll face at the hands of the Spurs or Lakers once if we eek in as an 8 or 7 seed.

If the Suns bench can gel like they did last year, we could be a formidable basketball team. The Suns have beaten a lot of good teams this year as well. No I'm not on koolaid now but just saying that its still possible to get an upset.

Yea very clutch, I also wouldn't mind seeing Jared Dudley in late game winning situations. I like his shot.

It's a back-2-back OT win! I really thought they would lose tonight since Nets is very hungry for their first win.

Looks like most starters played a lot less minutes and we still won in the end, which is a good sign!

Some great highlights between Hakim and Brooks....and of course, Lopez got another highlight - GETTING BLOCKED SO BEAUTIFULLY. This is twice now that he has such awesome highlight.

i'll be stunned. having to endure losing to the Spurs again or worse, somehow getting the 7 seed and having to watch the Lakers just rape us while living in LA does nothing for me and really does nothing for a team as old as us. it's not like the playoff experience is gonna be good for the "young guys" whoever they are and will remain on this team in the future.

The starters played a ton of mins the night before. You can't play them for eternity. At least with the case with Robin, he seemed to do better against his bro than Gortat did. However Gortat was much better on the boards and team defense.

I'm glad for Frye that the last shot went in a) because it won us the game and b) aside from that shot he was awful tonight.

Thank goodness that the bench had its best game of the year because we needed every bit of it.

Looks like Nash is in a huge shooting slump for the past 3 games but he has hit quite a few big shots down the stretch before... many times.

I've looked at the Spurs roster. I know they are good but they are not unbeatable in a series. If the Brooks can get the Suns second unit playing well then anything is possible.

I also like how they tighten the rotation now with 10-men. I expect to see our 2nd Unit very soon! Brooks, Hakim, Pietrus (good defensive player), Dudley and Lopez (sorry, he is not a starter material yet).

Our bench was a huge factor in that game. It seemed like every time our bench played theirs they couldn't catch up. Then when our bench outscored theirs we just put them away.

Our bench play would decide that series again IMO.

if they were exhaust why were they in the game???
they shouldnt have been exhaust if coach would have managed minutes a lot better.

pietrus was hot early on, then he was removed and never seen until OT.
VC sucked all game long, then comes in during OT.

lopez starts OT instead of gortat...

nash plays entire 1st and 3rd. half of the 2nd, and about 5min of the 4th.

If Brooks plays like he did tonight, I'm okay with moving Lopez to the bench. However it is not as big of a deal as some here make it out to be. Gortat is still getting the majority of the mins anyways.

Yea but this season, whenever we have given the ball to Nash in clutch situations he either a) turns it over or b) settles for a horrible shot that has 0% chance of going in.

Yesterday on his pass to Frye was the first time ALL season he did something good in crunch time.

But I'll admit, he does make the FTs late in games other than that he is useless....I'd rather see Brooks cause at least he won't do stupid stuff like foul on a 3pt attempt when we're up by 3!

The bench was somewhat ineffective yesterday as the starters had to come in extremely early in the 4th qtr and had to continue in OT. If they played any fewer mins yesterday we likely lose.

It carries on tonight so you have to allow some of the players to get some rest or likely lose them to injury. We won the game guys mostly due to our bench and pseudobench players like Lopez. If they don’t have a huge game we likely lose with our exhausted starters

It would be nice to get another ball handler on offensive possessions late in the game. Both Nash and Brooks can shoot FTs. No doubt Nash is in a shooting slump.
