The Suns play at the Pelicans tonight who are starting to get healthy and are hungry. See more from the Paul Coro article today at azcentral.
SUNS (39-40) at PELICANS (42-36)

Tip-off: 5 p.m. (Phoenix time) TV: FSAZ

C: Brandan Wright … Omer Asik

PF: Markieff Morris … Anthony Davis

SF: Marcus Morris … Quincy Pondexter

SG: P.J. Tucker … Eric Gordon

PG:Eric Bledsoe … Tyreke Evans

Key Pelicans reserves:Ryan Anderson, Dante Cunningham, Norris Cole, Toney Douglas, Alexis Ajinca.

Key Pelicans injuries:Jrue Holiday (stress reaction, lower right leg) is questionable.

The Pelicans badly need this win because the Thunder has the easier remaining schedule (vs. Sacramento, at Indiana, vs. Portland and at Minnesota). After playing the Suns, New Orleans plays at Houston and Minnesota and against San Antonio.

"We've got to approach it almost like it is a playoff game," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. "It is for them. We can learn from that also. So we'll see what we've got."

Suns have to somehow stop Evans driving into the lane for layups.

I'd like to see the Pelicans play Golden State in the first round. I'm thinking it would be a good matchup.

Anthony Davis has not returned to the game. He needs to be healthy.

Even with Anthony Davis out the Suns are a small team in comparison.

Is there a player who gets less respect from the referees than Archie Goodwin? The guys constantly fouled going to the basket and rarely gets the call.

That one no-call at the rim was pretty obvious so we agree. Referees should call the game as it is played.

No respect.

Eddie Johnson is talking like there is a game going on. Sorry Eddie, I don't see one. I guess it's his job.

The Suns may have to wait until next season.
