Swift might not be the stud everyone wants him to be but you cannot play 3 guards or 3 small forwards. The last two games have been prime examples of giving up too many second chance points. Not to mention we have been giving up a ton of little runners in the lane. This shrimp ball sucks when used more then in small doses.

I watched the entire game live on TV, I like Swfit's debut. In first quarter Scola ate us alive, he basicly did whatever he wanted against Barnes. You can't really blame Barnes too much though, there is a 2 inches and 30lbs gap. Amundson was a bit too aggressive, gave unnecessary fouls. In limited minutes, Swift did a solid job defending the paint and collecting rebounds, I can't say I'm impressed, but he did hustle, bang with opponent and battle them down. Give him a couple of games, he should turn out to be a more than decent role player.

The problem is, Gentry loves to play Shaq + 4 small. Swift and Amundson played mostly when Shaq sit. It is partially because Lopez couldn't do the backup center job so we need them to fill the void. I am hoping that after adapting period Swift should be able to provide 25mpg with quality, then we can have him cover starting PF job for 15.
