So KRay tells us that Igor announced at a team meeting that everyone is a rebounder. Just as everyone is a distributor.

I wonder how Igor would feel if he is in the hospital and is told, "Don't worry. Every nurse is a doctor."

He or TC also said that the only reason Igor went bigger in the last game was to match the opposition. And now he is back to going small.

Did it ever dawn on him that match-up is catch-up? Winning teams make things happen.

100%

You don't match up to them good teams force you to change

Suns on a run after a slow start. They now lead 21-13.

We should beat the Bulls.

That’s not a good analogy about the nurses and doctors.

All they want are more rebounds. We need to start rebounding by committee.
I would say that "more rebounds" sets the bar low. If we are going to improve, we need to use our strengths, not spread the responsibility among the whole team. Is everyone supposed to play under the basket?

Of course, if we had an NBA quality Power Forward, that would improve the situation better than anything.

Too much pressure on Ayton. Too much pressure on Booker. Very short-sighted management. It is going to burn out our young stars, physically and emotionally.

As long as Book is good with it, burn at PG is a plus for his overall development. I'd say that using the Philly lineup would be a good move tonight, maximizing the odds of a win. This team needs a win after a tough loss- they seem to be turning a corner and a morale boost is what they need to sustain it. I suppose some minor injuries could be playing a role in Igor's decision making but on the surface it looks like a step backward.

Your first comment gets an eye roll from me. Not even a close or comparable analogy. Everyone on this team does have to be told to rebound. Other than Ayton we are undersized.

I agree with the second comment.

End of 1st quarter:

Suns 28 - Bulls 25

Warren is becoming a dependable 3 point shooter.

Bulls announcer called Booker an underrated defender. Do these guys watch other teams?

I think it's because he makes some very nice defensive plays. He's a poor defender if you watch him throughout the game but the occasional highlight block or steal can impress.

Hulu is pissing me off. Infinite loop here with commercials and ending with a Holmes dunk

Ayton is not thinking twice about going to the basket tonight. I like his aggressiveness.

Shaq pokes it away from Booker leading to a Bulls basket. Suns lead by 2.

I must say that listening to Kevin Ray's play-by-play is annoying. Annie has to interrupt his rambling to mention what is happening on the court.

...And Robin Lopez - pause - can put it up - pause - with either hand - pause - when he drives and - pause ... Then Annie covers the play that ensues.

I am a non-violent person, but I think EJ and Annie should get him in an alley and tell him they are going to knock out one tooth for every rambling pause. :)

Did anyone else think that 1 on 5 layup by Booker looked a lot like the Suns defense.

Heh!

To be fair, their defense has been better. Chicago did score a lot of points, but it hasn't been a layup drill for them.

Yeah but it just shows that even if you "try" to play defense, young teams tend to make huge errors like that. Each defender was wondering whose responsibility Booker was. Veterans would just stop the ball regardless of responsibility.
