One so-so game by the point guards against a team resting half of its players, where the point guards still weren't all that great and everyone outside of Jackson was just hitting their shots does not mean there is not still a gaping hole at point guard that needs to be filled ASAP.

Yes I know.

However you have to weigh pluses and minuses. Is it worth getting raped in a trade for a pg when you still are unlikely to make the playoffs?

I'm just saying the ball movement was far better last night than previously. I am not saying it is good enough, just that it was good enough to not mortgage the future for a pg.

Goran is not a pure PG, Booker is just as good a passer already.
Even if that were true (which it is not, considering that Booker has no experience as full-time Point Guard) ...

... your point doesn't take into account that if DBook were moved to the Point, we have no Shooting Guard who could come close to replacing him.

And if, somehow, you expect Devin to cover both positions, that would be an invitation to fatigue and injury.

Sarver has earned a long reputation for aggressively involving himself in basketball decisions, but it's become harder for coaches and front office staff to manage in the past two years after the Suns became Sarver's primary business interest.

Suns coaches became accustomed to regular beratings and demands of strategy and lineup changes, league sources said. Rival executives could sometimes hear Sarver yelling in the background on negotiation calls with the Suns' front office. Agents tell stories of private conversations occurring with Sarver without the front office's knowledge.

This is concerning.

I am not one to say 'I told you so', but it is why I wrote a letter to the other Suns owners urging them to put their 70% vote together and replace Robert Sarver as Managing Partner.

It didn't bother me that some of you opposed my point of view because, well, it just seemed so obvious that, from a management perspective, we hadn't yet seen the worst of Robert Sarver's unprofessionalism.

Kinda takes some steam out of the argument that there was a fight with McDonough that led to the firing when you look at all the collateral damage. My initial reaction is that James Jones made a power play, but I hope I'm wrong.

As it turns out you were right.

Gambo now saying McDonough was trying to trade up for Gilgeous—Alexander but got overruled to take Bridges. Why would Sarver want Bridges?

Did you get a response?

My guess is that he was then counting on McDonough to swing a trade of Warren or Jackson for a starting point guard. Either that or (gulp) Sarver wants to stick with the current mess we have at point guard, and it was McDonough who wanted to swing a trade and was shot down.

Sarver wants a pg. He made that clear in yesterday's interview.

But he might prefer to wait until next summer to acquire one in free agency. He seemed to hint that free agency was the next focus in terms of player acquisition.

I remember that article but to me, it's saying something quite different than the one from ESPN that you posted.
Either way it’s showing that he’s really active in basketball decisions and that he’s more active than most other owners in the NBA.

“Sarverfish?”
It's a joke, dude! Learn to laugh once in a while. The Sarverfish is one of those invasive species that infects a lake and swims up your poo canal to set up shop for some medical shenanigans.

The Chief Sarverfish is a semi-educated banker whose banks have been under multiple FDIC supervisory agreements over the years. He would be hard-pressed to define what Tier I capital is for a bank, just like he can't deal with a team that once had THREE point guards on the roster a few years ago. He nitpicks in basketball operations. He thinks he is Jerry Colangelo, but at best he's Jerrih Jones.

What are you talking about, we were truly tanking last year and the final half of the previous season. There is no debating that we tanked. What more should have been done?

Right and the Suns should have been tanking the Bender-Chriss draft. Reading between the lines, it sounds like Sarver didnt want to tank.

Sarver's insistence that the Suns trade assets to try to get the 8th playoff spot killed the franchise for years. Sounds like he wants to sacrifice the future again for a vain attempt at the playoffs again.

Uh, I just didn’t know why you called him that. I figured it was a play on words and I just didn’t get it. Now I understand it’s something you completely made up and expected an entire audience to understand your inside joke. Trust me, I don’t give a F what you call him, I was just trying to figure out why you called him that.

But thanks for trying me to call me out when I was just trying to get in on the joke dude.

My greatest fear. He just can’t see how successful the Sixers have been without rushing it.
