I'd work him out and if I felt comfortable with his shot, I'd draft him to play next to Booker. He can handle and distribute the ball well enough to get by as our shooting guard and he can defend multiple positions. A lineup of Booker, Culver, Oubre, Randle and Ayton might be a little light on distance shooting but it should be able to defend the perimeter much better than we have and with a solid bench it could be a lot of fun to watch.
I would also look at him as a future two guard. Let's say TJ walks after this next season. You have a guy at the two who can back up Booker. I would still try and get a Dinwiddie or other vet PG. Resign Oubre if possible. Maybe get a PF or B/U center at 32, and a vet for whatever spot isn't picked at 32.

They are moving Warren 100%.

I think there is a 70% chance they also move Jackson.

They probably are but 100%? What if every team refuses to take him, are we shipping him to Australia or something or do you believe they have a deal in place already?

Ok, 99%.

Both sides want a divorce, but I suppose if they can’t find a deal for him we could be stuck.

I'm not convinced both sides want a divorce but yeah, the signs do point that way.

I know Culver may be BAP at the six spot, but I only draft this kid if I know I am moving at least one wing, or not bringing Oubre back. There is the theory you take BAP, and then you can trade later if need be. It may not matter if we do sign a Dinwiddie. At some point you have to mix in a PF or Center sometime. :)

Culver is a guard with playmaking skills

Him and Booker would be the backcourt.

So...basically a downgraded version of the Booker/Tyler Johnson backcourt (as Culver is a worse shooter and facilitator than Johnson). That backcourt would struggle to win 15 games.

Gina Mizell on the Suns hyping Monty Williams running draft practices, "Well, he is the only coach on the staff right now." :)

Let's be fair It wouldn't be a downgrade...just not much of an upgrade

Actually it probably would be a downgrade in his rookie year. But we are not drafting him just for his rookie year.

He would not be the starter next to booker. He would be coming off the bench.

From TJ himself through Gerald Bourguet. Supposedly, he told one of the Valley reporters he was upset at his minutes or not starting. I know during one of the Suns games the commentators were saying TJ was pouting on the bench. That could be a reason a lot of people have a feeling he is upset. Just based on the yahoos on the Suns broadcast. I vaguely remember EJ saying something on one of the broadcasts, too.

What I mean, is maybe a lot about nothing?

We almost have to draft someone like him now, because when the Booker/Johnson backcourt expectedly fails miserably...again...

Tyler may not even start if the Suns keep him. I'm not sure why you are so down on him.

I do like Jerome but he may not be available at #32.

He needs to shoot a little better for us and he's injury prone but otherwise, I like him a lot. Sure, he's overpaid but if he was making 10 to 12 per he'd be a hot commodity IMO.

He would certainly be a guard the Suns would look at.

He is Brandon Knight with slightly better defense and a much worse shot. He is a black hole on offense, the ultimate ballhog, his shot selection is horrible, and he can't pass worth a darn.

Do you really want a bunch of 4-15 shooting nights with 3 assists and 2 turnovers from your starting point guard every night?

It's like he's completely ignoring the player that Tyler is and is just making up what he thinks he should be since, a) he's really a combo guard, and b) he plays for the Suns.

Yeah calling him "Brandon Knight with slightly better defense" is like calling Wilt a slightly bigger Muggsy Bogues.

Really bad take. Tyler is exactly the type of players that really good teams have as their 6-7 best player. Sure he is overpayed, but if he was only making a few million pretty much every playoff team would love to have him. It is okay to trash the contract, but completely trashing the player is just ignorant.
