Wow it does! But there is no way Sarver back an additional 4.2 million in salary, 8.4 after the LT. That's why I think Marion coming back here is impossible. Marion contract alone is 2.8 million more than Amar'e. Plus reacquiring Marion looks really bad for both Kerr and Sarver.

Suns send out Amare and Dudley, a combined 16.2 mil.
Suns receive Marion and Gay, a combined 20.4 mil.

Not gonna happen.

The key is Marion's deal drops off after the season.

That and the season is half over, so the liability is only $2.1M plus any luxury tax.

I just don't get it. What is coming in is worse then what is going out. It's not what I think. The proof is in the play. Plus, you really think anybody is going to get more out of Beasley then Pat Riley???? Keep in mind that Pat Riley was desperate to trade out of the #2 pick to avoid taking Beasley and had no takers. Now is willing to send him packing. That sounds like a solid prospect?

Fact: Beasley is a worse defender then Amare.
Fact: Gay has a bigger turnover problem then Amare.
Fact: Neither is better rebounder then Amare.

You might as well just keep Amare.

Cheaper, younger and no microfracture.

Keep in mind Amare has been the same in those areas his whol ecareer and we were all loving him till he did a heart transplant with Derrick Coleman this offseason. (on a side note i REALLY wish he would have played in the Olympics at this point - look at what it did for every other player who went. That kind of camraderie and internal competition would have made this season alot different on Amare's end IMO)

What I am trying to point to you is that the trade isn't going to be made in order to fix the Suns current defiencies. Its going to be about getting back the most value.

I think we can get better value for Amare then that. What makes you think that a trade can't be made to make this team better now or in the future without bringing in crap? I think there are better scenarios out there then this one.

Besides, if you believe Sarver last night, he is not making trades to clear cap space if it means the team gets worse. It sounds like he is going to worry about that next year if the team is not a playoff calibur team. I just don't think the Suns are going to trade Amare to trade him. I think they will hold on to him unless the right deal comes along.
