The only thing that would be different is that fans wouldn’t feel like they made a mistake but Ayton would still be the same player with the same issues. Eventually draft position is irrelevant in how you should view a player. Right now it’s just still fresh.
I agree with this. I’m not venting because he’s not playing like the #1 player. And you’ll note I never complain that we took him over doncic. I was all for drafting Ayton. My complaints are always based on his actual play. That would occur if we drafted or acquired him from another team.

I literally said I wasn’t going to discuss it. When someone starts to argue with me I’m not allowed to respond? Maybe attack the guy who instigated with me instead of me. Ask yourself why you chose that course of action? Its because you agree with the guy who chose to bring it up with me.

Nobody was “arguing” with you. Stop it.

I dare anyone to back and look at that and see starting an argument or instigation.

if you are that sensitive that you feel attacked by a post that was pretty much oh hey I thought he was good tonight then you really need to consider taking a break for a minute bud. It’s been said people read text based on how they are feeling....

I honestly apologize for this. I’ll try to be a better person. I was raised to be better than this. Once again I am so sorry

I said I wasn’t going to discuss him. Someone quoted my post to say he was good, obviously disagreeing with me, right? A disagreement is an argument. When someone quotes you it’s pretty natural to respond, no?

I said I wasn’t going to talk about it.

you quoted me disagreeing with me.

I responded.

chap told me to shut up because he disagrees with me.

seems pretty cut and dried.

I think you just need to relax, it’s not that serious.

If two people are disagreeing in a conversation it is an argument. Not every argument is heated or angry.

If two people with different opinions are talking and it’s cordial I would call that a “conversation” not an argument

Pretty sure I didn't say "shut up" but you go on with your persecution complex and make this a bigger deal than it needs to be. Works (or should I say doesn't work) for Ayton...

If "give it a rest" is too harsh for you, then I'll apologize and move on.

I never said it was. But I have to admit that I don’t enjoy being told to shut up. I don’t do that to others.

nobody is telling you to shut up. Again you reading text how you feel instead of taking them as they are.

You may be right, but I've seen a bunch of videos of him watching film of himself and he has consistently been intelligent about what he is doing wrong. Maybe it doesn't translate to the court as well as we'd like, but I don't think it's as cut-and-dry as just being a lack of basketball IQ.

Maybe basketball IQ was the wrong term. I could look at videos of myself and see what I'm doing wrong, but it wouldn't matter, because my mind wouldn't be able to send the right commands to my body in real time. It's like being able to write up a manual describing how to be a good basketball player versus actually being able to do it.

lol... so you can say "Just give it a rest! Can't you just enjoy the win?" Which not only is telling him to shut up (I mean, what are you saying if not stop talking when you tell someone to give it a rest!), but then in your "apology" above, you insult him by saying he has a persecution complex?

again, Ouchie made no personal comment toward you. He was talking about basketball, about Ayton and in response to you told him to give it a rest! and that he has a persecution complex.

good form as usual.

You of all people shouldn't be the gauge for "good form." LOL

Right, but that's all the more reason that we would have expected improvement over the last couple of years, instead of regression. It doesn't look like he's learned anything other than improved rebounding fundamentals.
I get why you would think that, but that is not something comes a long very quickly. Most guys already have a pretty solid feel for the game when the enter the NBA. It could take a while for him to gain that at the NBA level.

If I'm not mistaken guys like Jokic, Embiid, and Davis for instance grew up playing point guard and being creative with the basketball so they had that feel for the game before ever coming into the league. They just simply improved their game to the point of being able to be effective at this level.

Let me ask you a question chap, did your post have anything of substance? Or did it just ask me to stop talking about Ayton? You can play semantics all you want.
