The Suns play at the Knicks tonight with a 5:30 p.m. Arizona start time.

Here are the reported starting lineups.

C: Tyson Chandler … Robin Lopez

PF: Alex Len … Kristaps Porzingis

SF: P.J. Tucker … Carmelo Anthony

SG: Devin Booker … Arron Afflalo

PG: Archie Goodwin … Langston Galloway

Key Knicks reserves: Kyle O’Quinn, Lance Thomas, Derrick Williams, Kevin Seraphin, Lou Amundson, Sasha Vujacic.

Key Knicks injuries: Carmelo Anthony (sore left knee), Kristaps Porzingis (upper respiratory infection) and Jose Calderon (sore groin) are questionable; Cleanthony Early (right knee) is out.

Archie Goodwin remains the Suns PG although Jordan McRae has played some combo guard in the D-League.

At the moment McRae playing the best PG with 3 consecutive assists cut Knicks lead to 10.

Jordan sparks the Suns

Jordan McCrea, that is.

A D-League Shooting Guard makes his NBA debut and looks like the smoothest Point Guard we've had all season. 7 points and 4 assists in 11 minutes.

This on a team heavy with Point Guards. Well, small Guards, anyway.

That says something, doesn't it.

Especially following a bunch of baaaad lob passes to Chandler in the 1st quarter before McCrea entered the game.

Suns are so bad right now...what's there even to look forward to anymore? Build around...Booker? Be in the basement for years to come?

I could have sworn it said Mcrae on his jersey. I thought is was McCrae also but his jersey says otherwise. It dont matter, he a smart exciting player in his short debut.

You're right, it's McRae on the Suns roster page. My bad!

I don't know how that moving screen from Lopez ends up in a foul by Tucker on Carmelo. I don't have a great replay but it looks to me like Lopez moves on the screen forcing Tucker to go the long way around and giving Carmelo a wide open fallaway jumper. Tucker is then behind him and if there's contact, it's Melo falling into PJ not the other way around. If the stupid refs would make the right call all we'd have to do is make a basket from the 23 Point Line and we'd be right back in this game.

For a player playing his first NBA game, Mcrae sure looks composed..I guess tank mode nothing to lose mentality probably helps.

He acts like the a vet out there, the way he interacts with his teammates. At first blush he looks like he's a keeper but maybe it's too early for us to see all his warts.

It's a good sign that McRae made a strong first impression even without showcasing his best skill -- he's a scorer.

Despite being down by 20 and knowing that they're a tanking team, I found myself enthusiastic for the moment and rooting on the Suns. It was a good feeling.

I enjoyed watching Jordan McRae. He looked pretty good for a player that probably never got a chance to practice with the Suns. He looked fairly strong which was noted as a weakness in scouting reports. One can only hope that the Suns have found a hidden gem. Physically he has the tools. Watching young talent is one of the few joys in watching the Suns.

Just need to get rid of Tucker and Kieff for some quality forwards

Did anyone else watch the postgame? I haven't watched the postgame since early in the season but Chambers seems like he doesn't care about his job at all. He was really cynical tonight, not just regarding the Suns team but when talking about the NBA in general. When Leander mentioned Tyronn Lue being the coach for the East All Stars, Chambers didn't even wait for him to finish before calling it a trash move.

TC has been irreverent and outspoken (and sometimes rude) all along.

Perhaps the Suns brass are letting him vent as a way to let the fans have an emotional release during this tanking period.

Listening to Tom Chambers speak his mind is one of the few pleasures watching the Suns. I'm tired of some announcers trying to put lipstick on a pig.

Also Paul Coro, beat writer for the Suns, speaks a lot of truth about the team without sugar coating it, especially on twitter.
