Suns @ Knicks Thursday game thread 1-16-20

On Thursday the Suns play the second game of their three game road trip at the Knicks before wrapping it up on Saturday at the Celtics.

Knicks (11-30) lost to the Bucks in their last outing on Tuesday 128-102.

Suns (16-24) will try to regroup after their loss to the Hawks.

Game time is 5:30 p.m. MST (Arizona time).

It will be televised on FSAZ.

The good news is Ricky Rubio should play. The bad news is Kelly Oubre is listed in concussion protocol.

If we're speculating, Oubre being cleared to fly is a good sign. The protocol is lengthy as detailed in our story, but I'd assume his symptoms aren't present anymore if he's flying. Still a ways to go but a strong step forward already.

'Glad that Rubio will be back with Oubre out. What's the connection?
That Booker won't have to cover his position and Rubio's and Oubre's as our second top scorer.

Ayton owes it to the team to take high percentage shots and score 30 in the absence of Oubre.

High percentage means not hiding out 20 feet from the basket.

This is good to hear. It is crazy bright in our arena, the seats are just as lit up as the floor.

I think the theater style lighting of the basketball court, with the seats in relative darkness, is far more engaging and probably helps the players focus too.
