Jason Kidd had his fueds with teammates in Dallas...Remember the "Three J's" dramas.....Did that make Kidd a lockerroom cancer too?

um, yeah, do you remember that Kidd also GOT TRADED OFF THE MAVS and was an incredibly talented and young PG? Why the hell do you think traded his ass also? See a trend here masterdebater? Guy's who have problems with other guys in locker rooms GET TRADED BECAUSE THEY ARE PROBLEMS IN THE LOCKER ROOM.

thanks for strenghtening my point masterdebater.

So Artest and Bibby had words and Artest came out a lockerroom cancer because of it? What was said??

To be fair, Kidd's problem in Dallas was because he was dating Jimmy Jackson's girlfriend. Or was it Jamal Mashburn's? I don't think they knew.

OTOH, Kidd started beating his wife while playing for his second team, so Artest does have one up on Kidd there.

Yet Kidd has never been accused of abandoning his dogs to starve while playing on the road, so Kidd gets the PETA vote.

Bibby has spent six seasons in Sacramento and is by far the most popular player among fans and teammates. He regularly hosts BBQs for his teammates at his house and so endeared him to the Maloofs, they refused to trade him last year even though it was in their best interests to do so. He's never had a problem with a teammate, at least not publicly, until Artest came along.

I don't know. Do you know? I do know Sheed has long been a popular guy in the locker room, if not in the ref's room.

Not that I'd want either in a Suns uniform.

Bro its okay to have an opinion. And I have one too. You couldn't be more wrong about Ron Artest.

I love Ron - Ron as a player. But i think most people are missing the point on this guy. Its not so much he doesn't get along with other players ~ although the Bibby drama is well documented and Jermaine Oneal was fed up by the end too. ~ its that he is a ticking time bomb. And that is a constant distraction to a team. And that's not even including the two or three negative national headlines the guy is guaranteed to make a season.

Is there zero percent chance that he could come in and keep his mouth shut and contribute? No it could happen - I guess stranger things have happened. Is there any way he comes in and doesn't make player, coaches, and fans not constantly worried the entire season that he will mess up at exactly the wrong time? No. And thats just the kind of thing that doesn't need to be added to the volatile egos of Marion and Stoudamire. Thats just a bet not worth taking. No matter what the potential reward. There is no trust with Ron Artest and that can destroy a team.

We can gain tougness with cheaper less risky propostions. I'm not sure Wallace is the answer either but while technicals can be game altering, off court drama can be SEASON altering.

No one is saying Ron Artest wouldn't add talent and even a much needed defensive presence to the Suns. But T.O. gets you eighty catches and ten TD's a year too. That doesn't mean you would want him on your team.....

See. Now this guy knows how to have a conversation...someone on "masters level"...my compliments.

I can hear what you're saying on Artest. Its comes down to "what are the Suns options" at this point. I hear on the news Grant Hill is almost signed so that makes any Artest fantasies a mute point BUT Artest skills are exactly what the Suns need. I would absolutely LOVE seeing Artest playing his defense (and offense!) in a Suns uniform. Artest and Marion (and Peja) were virtually in a dead heat in the SF position for a lot of years. Artest would be a lot of talent we'd be adding.

Artest a headcase? Yup. Would he tone it down on a contender team like the Suns? Perhaps. Is he a risk worth taking? If other options fell through...absolutely.

it's called having to resort to caps for POINT OF EMPHASIS since you obviously don't get "it".

nice way to avoid the issue though masterdebater. just keep on digging poker. keep on digging.

The Kings are desperate to trade Artest. That doesn't tell you anything?

The Suns are desperate for a championship....does that tell you something? They were trying to trade for Sheed...does that tell you ANYTHING?

of course not - why would it? I mean the guy has an incredible amount of talent and is gonna be on his 4th team in less than 8 years in the league. He can't possibly be a problem.

still waiting to hjear about how much Artest's teamates loved him wanting a two month break during the season to relax and promote his rap album. don't think Poker commented on that as he gave further evidence to my point when he brought up Jason Kidd, who was also traded after being a problem in the locker room.

Artest maybe an option before the trading deadline. Take him for the playoff ride and dump him after that.

I'm sure I can find more, but I have a life and need to get back to it rather than continue to prove you wrong again.

No need. The feud was started when Artest publicly questioned Bibby's defense. The Kings players have had a rule among themselves that they don't use the press to talk about their teammates. It's why you never heard Webber publicly question Bobby Jackson's heart when he couldn't come back from a finger injury for the playoffs, but that's what was going on behind the scenes.

Artest didn't have the sack to pose the question to Bibby to his face. Not long after, Artest was indefinitely dismissed from the team for domestic violence.

yeah, I heard about that stuff also. my roomate's a huge Kings fan (poor guy) and all season he was talking about the feud. Then I told him no one cares about the Kings, and he would shut up.
