Is Doug Collins too old? He's a good molder of young talent that's ultimately replaced by someone better.

How about George Karl? He flamed out in Sacramento, but their subsequent fire sale of Cousins made it clear where the true problem was.

Without studying the length of each player's contract, I am afraid that our best young players will be gone before we become relevant. As will whatever fans are left.

I'm sure Booker knows, and Jackson will, that Suns leadership is not a winner's mentality.

And, of course, once they're gone, Sarver and his neophytes will have bought another series of excuses.

Your thoughts, please.

Not interested in Majerle. If he moves GCU from being a decent team in a terrible conference (who isn't post season eligible anyway) then... maybe, but other than being named "Dan Majerle" he has no qualifications to coach this team.

Stop promoting assistants from bad coaching staffs to head coach. Go find a real coach, with experience. Or at the least, some coach who came up as an assistant on a currently successful franchise.

This is not a worry... at all... we've got Jackson under club control for 5 years, Booker for 3 and he will almost certainly sign a max extension next summer regardless.

I'd rather have Collins as a teacher of young studs, but wouldn't sneeze at Karl over Watson's non descript *******.

Would love Collins. HEs been great at molding young players. Would be a nice stopgap until they’re good enough to find a championship coach.

You are correct. Watson is still under his original HC contract until the end of the 2018/19 season. Sorry for the misinformation.
Now the question is whether he'll live out that contract. After the home opener, it's not looking too good for him. After a full training camp, that's not how you would expect a team to start a season. They appeared unprepared. Watson seems to be great with his players and they really like and respect him but he's severely lacking in the Xs and Os.

Anyone know the amount of Earl Watson's three year contract?

The lesser the amount, the easier it might be to part ways with him.
