After tonights game the team is 11-9 and played all the teams we have to go through the West in the playoffs. This team is only 2 games away from .500 basketball. I know this is one possible worst case scenario but what if this happens......

Utah - Loss (11-10)
Milwaukee - win (12-10)
La Lakers - Loss (12-11)
Orlando - Loss (12-12)

Then going into the Knicks game we could be at .500 basketball. Then for icing on the cake we lose to the Knicks?!?!?!?!?

OMG....I think people will be doing the "wall street jump" off the proverbial Suns ivory tower.

I realize this is pure speculation but OMG not only is this feasible but if this comes to pass.........things might just implode for the Suns.

Predictions anyone?

Can they really be on the edge this early in the season?

Yes. The offense has no rhythm or identity 20 games into the season. Players dislike the coach, Shaq is upset, Nash is upset, Amare is slouching, Bell is upset, our backup point guard belongs at a junior college (Dragic)...

Porter Needs to be fired.

I just read that NBA analysis about suns being in a "dark place" and I don't care about anything they said really since its obvious but why the hell is Raja Bell even talking? Please Raja you are the last person on our team that is allowed to talk right now. Boris Diaw is helping more than you. If Suns lose to Knicks they aren't just going to be on the edge they are going to run right off it and the team might even break apart, literally I can see trades coming after a loss to D'antoni. Please actually if you are going to fire Porter do it right after the Knicks game for laughs.

They're way past the edge already. Years of mismanagement and shortsightedness have caught up to them, in a big way. The franchise is in severe decline, and there is literally nothing to look forward to. We're headed for a dark period comparable to the aftermath of the drug scandal more than 20 years ago.

Stick a fork in them, the suns are done.

It is time to trade for young talent and draft picks. Especially since SarvKerr McImbeciles lost us our 2010 pick which is RIGHT when we were going to start rebuilding in 99% of scenarios (1% of them with us somehow winning a championship after trading KT, james jones, and 3 first round draft picks for absolutely nothing).

Dude you were saying the same crap when they were down 3-1 against the Spurs in the playoffs.

"It's not over yet" blah blah blah. It's hard to take you seriously.

The Suns are Done. 1/4 of the season and they have no offense , little defense, and a lot of whining. Not a championship team.

Forget championship team, this doesn't even look like a playoff team right now.

If this team goes into that Knicks game playing .500 basketball and somehow we lose to the Knicks.......well....the irony of it all.

Oh, I am sorry...I have only been watching basketball for 21 years and in sports in general, anything can happen.

I wouldn't say "anything". Crappy teams don't usually win championships. Nor do teams typically overcome 3-1 deficits in the playoffs just because their over-the-hill center is pissed, regardless of how "giddy" it makes his groupies feel.

Wow, such harsh words over the internet. Boo-freaking-hoo. I don't care the logic, anything can happen in sports...it is proven to be fact. Assumptions are usually made with an educated opinion on a subject, but that doesn't make them all true.

Actually, during Andrew's 21-year window of awareness, no crappy team has won an NBA title. A few semi-crappy teams have made the Finals (like the Kidd-led Nets), but there have been no crappy champions. The consistency of the trend goes far beyond "usually."

an argument could be made that the 2nd Rockets team looked pretty crappy going into the playoffs before their miracle run as a 6 seed but it's not an argument that i would make all that strongly.

that being said, there ain't no way this team is winning a title.
