According to slinslin, Gortat has an early termination option that he is sure to exercise. I have no way of verifying or refuting this independently.

I googled Phoenix Suns Salaries and saw no mention of the ETO in any spreadsheet. Hoopshype, Hoopsworld, Sportscity, Valley of the Suns, and Shamsports show that he is signed through 2014 with no player option whatsoever.

Some guy on RealGM found this tweet from someone associated with Shamsports.com.

Mark Deeks ‏ @MarkDeeksNBA Good news Suns fans - Marcin Gortat does NOT have an ETO in 2013. It is listed in error on the site, and the person who did it will be shot.

Memphis beat LA :(

Hopefully Deron Williams kills his former team tomorrow. Utah has to be tired as hell almost all their starters played 50+ mins.

Those early bad losses loom pretty large in our efforts to take make the playoffs given our tough schedule to come.

Really need to atleast split games with the Spurs and Clippers meaning we have to win one of those games. I think we can do it, if we beat the Spurs, the mo could possibly carry over to whoop on them Clippers again. With different guys stepping up each night, it's harder and harder to figure out how the Suns will match up with different squads. Team unity, focus, and good old drive/effort seems to be propelling this team's confidence and it is showing. Get in where you fit in, make it about the team, our guys are doing the right things at the right time of the year, the hole that was dug early is the biggest obstacle. If we do make it to the dance we will be the dangerous hot team, entering with a stolen ticket, playing all out, free to let the chips fall where they may. Go Suns.

So far we have a double jinx going here. Utah wins. Denver wins. Sacramento may be going into OT against Houston at least, though they were previously leading. I kinda saw these games going differently tonight but what do I know.

Horrible night for the Suns. Every West team fighting for the playoffs that played today won their game.

Only positive is that Dragic hurt his ankle so if he's out for a significant amount of time, we can expect Houston to dip since Lowry is already out and Boykins is their backup PG.

This happened last year too. Teams that we were rooting against ending up winning the majority of the time.

Nevermind Dragic will play tomorrow against Dallas :(

And btw how did the Suns go from being 1 game out of the #8 spot after our blowout win over the Cavs to being 1 and a half game out of the #8 spot?

Is it cause we didnt play today?

In a word, sort of. Houston won their game which increases their lead by half a game. When comparing records, the difference in wins counts as 1/2 game per W and the difference in losses does likewise.

Hmm...I see.

So if we somehow manage to beat the Spurs tomorrow, and Houston loses against Dallas, that would mean that we are still half a game behind them right?

Thanks for the response by the way.

Correct. We'd gain a half game on them in the win column plus a half game in the loss column, leaving us a half game behind them.

Minnesota losing to Memphis right now. That team just looks bad since they lost Rubio. Now they don't have Pekovic either.

Derrick Rose is still out hence the easy win for Denver.

That's a wrap... we aren't making the playoffs. It's a fun team but they can't handle the upcoming schedule of hell.

Seriously, are we watching the same team? The same sport?

Austin Rivers is not athletic, the Suns are a fun team... what is next?

The Earth being flat. :p

I think the team has been fun to watch when they've played well or fought really hard.

Trade Gortat and keep Robin Lopez to a max contract? Watching Steve Nash play is fun. If you can't enjoy that then you might as well go root for the Bobcats slinslin, they always get high picks. I've enjoyed this season. A lot of tough losses but it's not like we have world-beating talent on this roster. And yes, Rivers isn't a great athlete.

Come on Suns! Only Denver stands in our way of the coveted 9th position in the West. I truly can't wait for next year. By re-signing Nash and Hill and adding a player we draft at 14, we'll get to do this all over again! Hooray!
