Who wins tonight... I hope the Suns but I really don't have a clue as this team is so unnpredictable if it does not play with energy. I hope they're not content with a first game win on the road. Go Suns. :thumbsup

I'll say Phoenix 110 Mavs 109, so at least I vote.

Anyone know what happens to threads that disappear or moved?

Just curious what happened to that "trade Nash thread"... not that it was credible but that there was some interesting comments. I didn't know who to ask as it simply disappeared well into the second page as I recall.

Ill be realistic here, With bell out, and the fact its very hard to win 2 in a row on a good team's floor, ill say......

Dallas 112 Phoenix 106.

That being said, with how this team defies convention, I wont be suprised if they overcome and pull it out tonight.

Mavs 115 Suns 102

Barbosa

Just a thought though. With Barbosa starting for Bell, we are even faster. LB also seems to get into a groove when he is starting.

this isn't the HOPE thread, it's a prediction thread. Or should we not predict that after multiple Game 2 losses, on the road against a 60 win team and down a starter that it looks almost impossible to win another game. Should we all just sing happy happy joy joy and not say anything negative (or more to the point REALISTIC)? If people want to just have a predictions thread where everyone just says the Suns will win, what' the freaking point of having it?

Every thread on this sight is a "HOPE / HOMER" thread.

Should we all just sing happy happy joy joy and not say anything negative (or more to the point REALISTIC)?
Yes, as a matter of fact. If you didn't believe, why would you watch... hope begats faith, and faith proceeds the miracle...:suns::koolaid:

Because we are Homers, and want to show our support.

More to the point cheese... you are such a pessimist. How do you watch these games? You remind me of my wife... after a loss, "well, what did we expect, Kobe is such a great player - Suns didn't have a chance." ARRRRGH

uh - a pessimist? I call it REALISM - besides the fact, that just because I think we're going to lose tonight doesn't mean we're going to lose the series. I didn't give up when we were down 3-1 to the Lakers, I thought if we won Game 5 veruss the Clips we'd win the series because of the 3 days lay off between Games 6 and 7 and Ibelieve if we win just one of thew next three games we'll WIN Game 7 IN DALLAS - is that pessimism?

As to how I watch the games - I watch the expcting the worst and hoping to be pleasantly surprised - especially with a squad downb 3 starters... always better to be stoked beyond belief after a game, than crushed due to unrealistic expectations (and being a life-long Cardinal fan and Suns fan - I think anyone who has really put their heart into these teams, knows what I'm talking about - too many heartbreaks over the years (at least with the Suns) - after a while, a wall goes up to protect yourself).

And as far as the Kobe statement and to compare me to your wife, come on man, that just wreaks of stupidity - the only reason we'd EVER lose to a Bryant led team is because we played like absolute crap - nothing more, nothing less.

OK, I made my realistic prediction earlier. So here is my HOPE post.

A win for the Suns tonight would be a dagger that I don't think the Mavs could recover from. Here are some factors that could produce a win.

1. We did not play well in game 1. It was not like the game 7's of the previous 2 series. There were alot of turnovers and boneheaded plays (esp by Barbosa) that are not characteristic of this club. If we put together one of those ON games that we seem to do every 3 or 4 or so, it would be fantastic.

2. Barbosa has the potential to really do damage in this series, and with the start tonight it could happen. LB seems to respond well to starting. Its almost like it takes some pressure off of him.

3. The Mavs are going to focus on transition defense alot more tonight. The advantage for the Suns in that is that they won't be able to be as aggressive on the offensive boards if they do that. That, with a few minutes from KT could even the rebounding stats some.

4. Is it possible that the Suns have learned from the first two series, and have now found that killer instinct that doesn't wait until crunch time to finish off the enemy?
