IMO OTA sucks. It's like we are back in the 1980s. Hopefully DirecTV will figure something out.

I don't see the issue. It's not like the reception is the same as the 80's. I get legit HD quality from OTA broadcasts.

My guide lists all the live channels I have available from all apps as well as OTA so I'm a little spoiled in having everything in one place but even without that it should be as easy as changing the input source on your TV like you're watching a DVD or something.

I don't want to watch the game live, I can't. I record them and watch them a few hours later.

It kinda does. But one way to look at this is last year you had to pay for Bally's to watch and that was 19.99 a month, now it is 14.99 a month at worst if you want to avoid the hastle.

Direct TV and all legacy cable sucks IMO. If you want cable going with Fubo or Youtube TV is the better way to go, even though it is still expensive at least you get to record as much as you want and can watch them on any platform anywhere.

No. There will be no legal free streaming.

There is non legal free streaming like there has been for the last several years however if you are budget challenged. The only legal sanctioned free method to watch is with an antennae.

Yes, I'd recommend Amazon. I got mine on there and it looks a little phallic but it does the job. Either the game will be on channel 3 or 44. I believe there's 65 games or so on those channels.

This is like what I have....

I have Roku and downloaded the AZ 3 channel. Is that good enough to get the games?

No that won't work. Streaming right belong to Suns Live which is owned by Kiswe. Gray Television which owns channels 3 and 44 only own the broadcast TV rights.

I don’t think so. I have the app also and it looks like its just recorded news and not live tv.

I only see 3 NBATV broadcasts I’ve had sling and the games were always blocked out.

I live in AZ but not in Phoenix.

What’s the best option to watch all the games?

I feel I can get an antenna for the AZ3 broadcasts.

Then for the TNT, ESPN, ABC and NBATV broadcasts I feel like I need DTV to capture them all?

Most cost effective route is likely to be an antenna and Sling for the TNT, ESPN, and NBA TV games.

The games not on channel 3 will be simulcast on 44.1 and 3.5.

I have the local channels for Phoenix on DirecTv including channel 3. Supposedly something additional is coming soon on DirecTv and Dish.

I never knew there were over the air channels 44.1 and 3.5. I'm left wondering how one splits channels.

The best option in your situation is the suns live streaming thing they are selling.

That's the way digital tuners work. If you have an ancient TV that might be a problem though I suppose.

My television is a smart TV, but I'm using the DirecTv television receiver and guide.

Then you'd need a digital antenna, if you were capable of picking up those channels. Seems like you're not though based on what you've said.
