Then you'd need a digital antenna, if you were capable of picking up those channels. Seems like you're not though based on what you've said.

I think I'm good with my DirecTv package which includes local channels. If push came to shove, I'd subscribe to Suns Live.

I'm curious as to why you are still using DirecTV with all of the cheaper streaming options out there. I understood for some when they still had Sunday ticket.

We got a bargain years back with a locked internet fee for less than $40 dollars a month. It's not the fastest, but it is quick enough.

My DirecTV bill is only about $80 something per month. The combined cost is just too hard to give up since I am getting the channels I want and I don't have to update TVs and equipment.

It kinda does. But one way to look at this is last year you had to pay for Bally's to watch and that was 19.99 a month, now it is 14.99 a month at worst if you want to avoid the hastle.

Direct TV and all legacy cable sucks IMO. If you want cable going with Fubo or Youtube TV is the better way to go, even though it is still expensive at least you get to record as much as you want and can watch them on any platform anywhere.
I heard on the radio, the intention of this plan is for people outside the antennae reach. Or for people that want to watch on their phones, etc. That was according to Gambo. He said the Suns aren't making a profit. They chose these providers because they could offer this package at the cheapest price.

FYI, channel 3.1 broadcasts in 1080i, 44.1 is 720p, and 3.5 is only 480i according to Wikipedia.

Allegedly there is a KISWE app for streaming. However, upon downloading it there is only one app. It's their PPV app. What is weird is they have a specific app for the Utah Jazz but not the Suns. So, sounds like that option is out. AZ Family has an app but it appears to be for news only. I did notice that Hulu has AZ Family as well. I was checking to see if the Portland game appears but it doesn't go that far foward yet. Something tells me the game won't be there because of streaming rights to KISWE.

I might have to hookup my old OTA or pony up for the streaming package. Even then though it appears my only option if I pony up for the package is to "cast" those games from my iPad or iPhone to my smart TV if I want to watch in on the big screen.

Honestly, we neeed additional streaming options.

Ch.3 does work for the games on Youtube TV, so I would have to assume it works for Hulu and Fubo as well - I mean I am 99% sure it does.

Of course if that is the only reason you are getting a service, the cheapest option would be just signing up for the streaming package.

I would be shocked if there is not a Kiswe app that at least works on a fire stick so you can watch without casting - I mean that is the main reason to even use a service like Kiswe is to be able to use their app instead of developing one of your own.

Edit: Well I just did some googling and it appears there is no Kiswe app, and they actually recommend you cast. Ok that is a joke. Surely they have to be working on an app. Apparently they made a deal with the Utah Jazz to stream their games as well.

Right. It doesn't make sense to have a Utah Jazz app but not a Suns specific one. I already have Hulu. So, as long at the games on there I am golden. I will find out soon enough.

As suspected. The Thursday night game against Portland is not streaming on Hula even though it has AZ Family. Looks like Fubo and NBA TV have the streaming rights but not Hulu. So, even if you have a streaming service that has AZ Family it doesn't appear that automatically means you get to watch the games. I guess I will be looking to hook up my OTA or buying the streaming package. My only hesitation with the streaming package is not the price but the fact you have to "cast" the game if you want to watch it on the big screen.

Although I appreciate the Suns making the games available it's not as straight forward for everyone it seems.

I just checked my channel guide and I'll get tonight game and Thursday's on Channel 3. Maybe it's a guide error for you. I'd have rabbit ears ready to go but if you get regular channel 3 then you shouldn't have an issue as that's where both game games are showing. Of course there could be a weird blackout but I believe Thursday is in Portland, which makes a blackout that much weirder.

The Suns Live streaming plan offers 7 Day trials also. Can always sign up and cancel if you don't end up needing it.

Do you have Hulu? I just double checked my guide and Thursday's game is MIA. That's exactly what I am going to do. I am messing with my OTA today. I have a feeling streaming rights comes into play because this isn't cable/sat. It has Buddy Games listed in the guide. Worst case scenario I can subscribe but the fact I have to "cast" is crap. If I subscribe I want an app or something I can watch on my TV vs Cast. I think I can get my OTA working without issue. I have not used it since I ditched my TIVO.

Not Hulu Live. I checked on my OTA guide. Not sure who provides that, could be from the net or could be transmitted with the signal. I just scrolled to Thursday and saw it would be regular Channel 3.

Well I am covered. I just finished reconnecting my OTA and I have the channel teed up there. Worst case scenario, if my Hulu Live guide is correct, at least I have a working backup plan for the Portland game and non-national tv games. My hope is that KISWE eventually provides a streaming app like they do the Jazz. That would be pretty cool for streamers. If not, streamers will have some hoop jumping for the non-national games.

Gambo said the idea was for people who want to watch it on mobile devices like phones and laptops. Plus not all the games will be on AZ Family. TNT, ESPN, NBATV, etc, will get some of the games.

Hulu has AZfamily and the game tonight was not on it. So, it appears even having AZ Family via a streaming service does not guarantee the games. I had to watch it on my OTA.

FYI I Just heard Mark Mclune on PHNX - he said talks are underway to add AZ Family sports to Youtube TV and HULU. Also said that it will be added to Direct TV as well, they just haven't picked the channel yet.

YouTubeTv already has Chanel 3 and 5, so it should carry all the games. It’s has the preseason so far

It's a little weird for me, Ive watched over the air and glad they simulcast because channel 44 comes in better than channel 3 for me. Not like the old days of static or fuzzy picture but instead it freezes and buffers like OnDemand videos online.

This is good news for DirecTv subscribers.

I'm watching the games on channel 3. I also have TNT, NBA TV and ESPN.

Nope. None of the games will be on CBS 5. There will be a dozen or so games that will only be on AZFS 44 and will simulcast on 3.5.

The channel is coming to DirectTV and Fubo, may be streaming services too.

On mobile, use the Suns Live app for streaming.
