uh... when he stomps on Ayton and leads the Sixers to a 20 point blowout, that will be a win-win situation. How the hell could it not be?
Because as an experienced, skilled pro playing against a rookie, he is expected to dominate Ayton, especially this early in the season.

Plus, with the many 20+ loss games for the Suns already this season, it would't be a unique accomplishment for Embiid or the Sixers.

And, if for some reason, Embiid doesn't dominate the rookie, that would reflect badly on him. Embiid can only meet expectations or lose at this time. Unless he were to score 75-100 points. :)

i agree with most of these recent posts
after 8 blowouts in 11 games, more posters are recognizing the difference between a team with "a lot of new parts that needs more time together" and a team that:

1. is dysfunctional and regressing
2. needs a strong, experienced head coach, not a nice assistant coach

and that Ayton is **** (though like me, no one speaks the word)
i do, however, still believe he is young enough that a good coach can toughen him up

Another problem when running their offense, is that booker walks it up, the defense is set already by the time he crosses half court. They're already keyed in on everyones position making it far too easy to defend the suns.

When Crawford was pg last night, he'd run and get into the offense a lot quicker than anyone ive seen on the suns this year.

Canaan can go as far as im concerned. His defense and "toughness" are overrated, he's a liability on both ends of the court now.

He has always been a liability on both ends of the court.

Stupid ass coaching. Play Bridges. Sit Ariza. Play Okobo a lot more.

I've stopped watching.

i was thinking the same thing before tonight's game
their #1 problem is lack of aggression

what a great message it would be to start Holmes, Bridges and Jackson next game and say that it is a reward them for their hustle
That would be awesome. But coach is playing Ariza instead of Bridges so he should sit himself and let one of the assistansts or a fan take the coaching duties.

Crawford
Booker
Bridges
Warren
Ayton -- if he plays ****/passive again let Holmes start the next game

absolutely. i'd start both of them.
i don't really care what their stats look like right now.
they've got solid bbiq's and would likely benefit greatly from experience.
whereas, Canaan and Ariza have no upside

basically, i'd give Bridges and Okobo the opportunities Josh Jackson got last year.
and i'd still give Josh at least 15 minutes per game as a reward for being one of the few guys who plays aggressive D

It looks like Okobo will be rotated to the NAZ Suns. I'm not opposed to giving Melton an opportunity with the big team.

Anybody hear Gambo on the radio today say that Ariza is mailing it in because he knows he's going to get traded as soon as he is eligible to be (mid-Dec)?

I wonder if he's heard something or if he's like most of us here? I've assumed he was on his way out, once trade eligible, from about the 4th game of the season. And I've assumed since then that he's dogging it for that reason plus the fact that you end up looking foolish if you're playing aggressive D and the rotations and rim protection aren't there to back you up. For a player who's made his living being aggressive on D, this has to be a nightmare for him. OTOH, he's getting paid a lot of money to be a 3 and D guy and provide a veteran presence and I've seen very little of that from him.

I believe he said he heard it from a coach. But since I didn’t listen, I can’t verify that.

Yeah, I see it was mentioned on RealGM earlier today but with no real info or support besides what you just mentioned.

While the Suns are throwing away money, maybe they should buyout Ariza so he can go to a contender.

Yes I'm being sarcastic but it's what they do... make bad decisions.

$15 million dollar contracts are not so easily traded.

I'm not married to this particular idea but how about something like Ariza and Daniels for Teague? I think there are a lot of teams out there that would have interest in Ariza and some of them will likely have movable pieces that interest us.

I'm sure this type of trade is the plan and there are always movable pieces.

The only thing about Teague, he has a player option next season but Ariza is not helping the Suns.

At least the Suns would have a point guard for the remainder of the season.

Yeah, I make a lot less. But I would be happy to be bought out. :)

You and me both.

I haven't heard from James Jones since his comments about the Tyson Chandler buyout.

I am not seeing a lot of movement since he has been officially interim GM. Maybe he's waiting to make the right moves instead of doing a lot of moves to look important? Or he doesn't have a clue? Waiting. Trying to be patient.

I don't know. It reminds me a lot of Lance Blanks quiet.

He told us all when he was given the tag....I don't care about wins or losses just the growth of our players.....He's a joke. We don't pay our hard earned money for 4 years of a development league team.

Maybe Ariza for Dragic? We did clear McD out of town, which may have been one reason Dragic wouldn't want to return. I'm not saying I want it to happen but I wouldn't be against it either. He's an upgrade over Ariza, who has sucked, and would fill the PG hole we have. That would also clear our logjam at SF and might actually make Ryan Anderson usable again, in a Channing Frye role with Dragic.

Dude, if we are talking Ariza needs to go, Anderson is 10X worse! LMAO. If James Jones were really a GM Wizard, get us a viable PG straight up for Anderson, and then I will be 100% behind him! LOL! No way that actually happens, but if...
