Wow. I'm shocked, I just don't understand how anyone could expect this group to be regularly competitive? Ayton will be very good but right now he's near the bottom of the league at his position. Booker is going to be great too, I believe, but right now with his defense he's not much better than average at his spot and that's when he's not actually playing out of position. Warren at the 3 is close to average and then we have the worst starting point guard and the worst starting power forward in the game and they are all supported by what appears to be the worst bench in decades.

Well... when I say "competitive," let's be clear here... I'm not suggesting we would have several more wins than we do at this moment. This team is poorly constructed and apparently, poorly coached as well. My feeling is that we should not be losing by 20+ each time we take the court. Ayton will be great... I have no doubt about that. As will Booker, who will improve on defense. Warren is a pure scorer. I dunno.. I just think we shouldn't be losing by such wide margins night in and night out...

I think you are underrating Ayton, Booker, and Warren, but you are right on everything else. Outside of those guys, only Bridges and occasionally Crawford look like something that resembles real NBA players.
Like I said earlier, all you have to do is take the NBA and pretend all 32 GMs are picking from all the players to build their teams, and the three guys you mentioned are probably the only guys getting picked in the first three rounds at all. And then a LONG time for any of the others, if at all. Really, our talent level team wise is really not that good. probably honestly one of the lowest teams in the league, with no homer glasses on.

Really? Cuz I wasn't guessing, I actually went into the future to see what our team looked like next season.
Are you the time traveler Art Bell used to have on? If so will the Suns win a Championship before I die?

Here are some encouraging words from Ayton not that he is the Suns problem.

for the love of God, gotta walk the walk big fella, not just talk the talk.

YOU HAVE MORE TALENT IN YOUR FINGERTIP THAN 90% OF THE LEAGUE HAS IN THEIR ENTIRE BODY. BELIEVE IN IT AND USE IT.

Likely true... But is it wrong for me to hope that if you asked this question next year, Josh and Bridges would be included?

Another way to put that is, who is the Suns' fourth best player, and what kind of minutes would he get on other teams in the league? The answers are probably Bridges, and, maybe he's a ninth man on a mediocre team trying to develop him.

I hope JJ gets to get out of Igor's doghouse. Bridges, when he gets to play, is a positive force. Not sure why Igor can't see this. Hopefully, these guys do develop for us! We haven't been too good developing guys lately.

I want you to have those lottery numbers so you can buy the Suns, and let me be the GM! :)

I'll even work for Sarver pay.

Do you work cheap? :p

How about we become co-owners.

You got the lottery numbers. I just wanted to know from the future if we win a Championship before I die. LOL.

I tell you one thing, I would hire the best GM, coach and scouts money can buy so I guess the answer is yes!

Nah. Ayton is just a 20 year old kid finding his way in the NBA.

If you call TJ a 3, we were dominated at the 1, the 4 and the 5. We lost the bench battle and at best, broke even at our two best positions (2 and 3). That's a blowout in the making. One of these days we will find an opponent that plays hard from start to finish and we'll lose by 60 plus.
Embiid is going to DESTROY Ayton and show him what aggression really looks like. That may be the game we lose by 50+. And to think I was looking forward to that game before the season started.

And what will that prove? Ayton is a rookie, after playing a year of college ball out of position.

Embiid will be in a no-win situation.

Kokoskov needs to follow two simple principles:

1. Play the guys who play hard, no matter who they are.

i was thinking the same thing before tonight's game
their #1 problem is lack of aggression

what a great message it would be to start Holmes, Bridges and Jackson next game and say that it is a reward them for their hustle

there is a 4 letter word i have silently associated with Ayton
since the game i saw him play in the NCAA tournament
a frightening word i dare not speak

****

does anyone here dare invoke it at this time?
and once invoked, can it ever be forgotten?

Huh? Embiid will be in a win-win situation. He will personally dominate Ayton and the Suns and his team will blowout the Suns. I think it will be good for Ayton to witness. It’s going to teach him the right way to take advantage of his size and strength. None of this rhythm player nonsense.
