His qualifying offer is 3.x million. Do you think atlanta really offered him that much??? If atl didnt ovver him that much then he would be an unrestricted free agent right?

Right, RFA's who are not given qualifying offers become FA's. I would think that's what happened here, although I wish there was a site out there that kept track of info like that.

Real GM lists him as an unrestricted FA. (Their listing is screwed up and does not match to teams in all cases).

I like JP's size, rebounding and shotblocking. He is offence is-- well --offensive. He is young enough to have significant upside. Fairly active.

Might fit well with Lampe and Jake.

Hmmm.

JP was injured a lot with the Bucks, so playing with the Hawks was his first chance at extended minutes. He is part of the reason the Hawks won their way out of the top three. :D

I did not get a chance to see him with the Hawks, so I don't know why he was so awfull shooting. If he was blowing layups, then I guess the Suns would have to prohibit him from shooting. If he was shooting jumpers, then it is easy to say "if you shoot jumpers you don't play".

Good thing is we dont really need a center that has an offensive punch. If he gets boards and plays decent D then we're alright I think

The thing people have to look at is that he averaged less than three field goals per game and he made one of those. That's not too bad and the low percentage shooting doesnt really bother me for this reason.

good point. He didn't shoot for a high percentage, but it isn't like he was taking a high volume of shots. He would be brought in for rebounding and defense.

As long as he's not too expensive.
