Payton will be a RFA in the offseason.

Better not win us any unnecessary games. But young and I guess worth a flyer.

The trade at least makes sense. They can give him a look for the rest of the season before deciding what to do.

He should immediately have “back spasms” in the fourth quarter of every game.

A second round pick?! I realize he has the stupidest hair in the league and it actually has effected his play... but he really isn't a bad player! Look at his stats, he's efficient, a good shooter, solid assist to turnover...

Not saying he is a world beater but he is a quality, young player... I don't get what Orlando is doing. That is one freaking dumb franchise.

I like the trade as well especially for a second round pick.
Payton, who was the 10th overall pick in 2014, was averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 28.6 minutes per game this season with the Magic.

He is a non-shooter, he gets his points basically from lay-ups.

Basically the Suns get a better PG than what they have plus give him an interview for the backup PG position next season.

For a second round pick, I'm fine with the trade. His 3 point percentage is up.

Payton is better than having a second round pick. Looks like we got Troy Daniels and Eldrid Payton for nothing. Traded the pick we got for taking Daniels.

Payton distributes and plays d, when he can see.

So long as he doesn’t jeopardise a high draft slot..and if he does then maybe Orlando won this trade.

Payton will reportedly arrive in Phoenix on Saturday so it is uncertain he will play against Denver.

Again, he is a non-shooter. He gets almost 70% of his points in the paint.

I haven't looked at any of his stats, but he can't be any worse than Ulis in this regard. Also, he should be much better defensively than Ulis or Hart at the PG position and that would be a welcome change.

Um. This team doesn’t have a pg at all. You have to put a team on the court that shows a little respect for the league and game.

I don’t think he will be THAT much af a game changer. He just maybe gives the other young guys a bit more opportunity to develop.
