Book focused too much on passing and drawing fouls, just put the ball in the hole when the team needs it.

When bender has the second highest shooting percentage on the team you know it was a bad half

This is so weird. It's like the two channels are trying to merge.

Ugh. Suns shooting 33% (17/51) with 3/12 3 pointers at the half. :( Trail Blazers shooting 50% (23/46) with 4/11 3 pointers.

Suns made 10/11 free throws, Trail Blazers made 16/22 free throws.

Suns with 5 turnovers, Trail Blazers 3.

The Blazers are not missing at 3 point range. The Suns cold shooting has really cost them in this game.

Was surprised they didn't turn it over much but still got lit up in the 2nd quarter. Portland definitely has the Suns number.

Semi related, a note on Portland. In the last decade they are the only team in the entire NBA that has a winning percentage when facing the Spurs. They're 23-20 for a 53.5 winning percentage. Number 2 against them is OKC with 47.4 winning %. I didn't realize San Antonio had been that dominate that there is just 1 team that can say they win more than they lose when facing them. Of all teams for that to be though it's the Blazers. Portland stayed competitive when they lost Aldridge despite everyone predicting a collapse. They've managed to stay good every year even though most think this will be the year they quit overachieving. I know I thought they'd be worse this year after their 1st round collapse last season.

Link to article on Reddit about head to head matchups. The 5 teams that do the best against the Suns in that same time period are the Heat, Spurs, Thunder, Warriors, and Cavaliers. Winning percentage and record is all in there.

No scoring tonight from the supporting cast. Holmes and JJ have 6 point combined, Bridges is scoreless, Oubre is not having a good night. Johnson is having an average game. You can't beat a good team when only two guys are scoring.
