This game was a blow out. Garbage time made the final score respectable. Portland is a good team, and they are deep.
And at the end of the day, the lost by 7. You can quote all the Cotton Fitzsimmons "extensive garbàge time" all you want. They at least made it respectable. And that's one *****-ton of improvement over what happened in the middle of the saison.

While there was garbage time, the youngsters played hard until the very end. That's very important for a young team.

It was a blow out. Garbage stats are just that.

It brings a false sense of optimism about the players who picked up the garbage points.

This team is not going to get much better without Booker improving his offensive efficiency. He has to improve his three point efficiency and reduce his turnovers.

Book seems to be hitting a wall.

The Point Book experiment needs to end. Get him off the ball next year with a competent PG

You could say this about the whole season. Makes it difficult to evaluate the roster.
Sometimes the eye test is more reliable.

It's best to evaluate players when the opponents rotation players are on the court.

Stats combined with the eye test is best in these situations.

Then why bother? Just forfeit the last couple minutes of the game, since we were going to lose anyway.

OK. I will accept that. The bench crew did not quit.

Book has to be a concern though. Positively, he has increased his assist number from 4.7 last year to 6.6 this year, while his TOV has only increased from 3.6 to 4. Still, that's not a very good assist to TOV ratio. The big concern is that Book's 3 point percentage has increased every year, until this one.

This is not all a result of "point Book." What's odd right now is that this team misses TJ's outside shooting and TJ Warren is our best three point shooter this season by a significant amount. Book came into the year in great shape, but he has had nagging stuff throughout the year and has just not seemed himself--off the court stuff maybe? Don't know.

Things change I guess.

I am guessing that injuries to affect the shot a bit. That's probably one factor. As for "Point Book", I am not really sure. My eye test says that he's been taking more off-the-dribble threes this year. My perception is that his catch-and-shoot attempts are fine. I am not sure where to find that data to either validate or disprove my perception, but I really think that his percentage is partially due to the change in the off-the-dribble to catch-and-shoot splits.

Are you blaming Igor for Point Book? There is a lot of things to blame Igor for, but Point Book isn’t one of them.
The coach is not to blame for playing book at PG? Lol so Igor is just saying hey guys play where you want. You do realize once this season ends Igor will be fired. Fired because he stinks.

Yes. BECAUSE WHO ELSE COULD PLAY PG? At least before Tyler Johnson? Booker has BY FAR been our best PG, regardless of his usage.

That's just asinine....take away your best shooters greatest strength and handicap him because you can't find a decent PG? Point book was a waste and it starts from the top all the way to igor

Point Book started with Triano last year. Igor is only playing the hand he was dealt. Do you really want him to go with a couple of 2nd round picks that aren't even ready for big time NBA minutes for 48 minutes a game at PG?

Who would you be playing at PG this year? You see the roster, what could he have done other than play Booker there, do you want Point Warren or Jackson instead?

Of course, his 11 assists just happened to show up in the boxscore somehow. He played PG just as much as he did in Portland last night. Since he's shared the floor with Tyler Johnson he hasn't been playing PG full time. He still initiates the offense sometimes because he is our primary scorer still and Johnson isn't a true PG. Portland has the Suns number, it happens. If you want to blame losses on Booker and then claim Booker was entirely different the next day then I wonder if you're even watching the games because Booker played the same role in both games.

You see it your way I see it mine....to keep bringing up me truly watching games is childish. Look... you know I am no Igor fan and not point book fan. That will not change. I'm a Suns fan and enjoy how they are playing period. Who knows maybe if we can win 12 of last 15 my Igor mind might change. But for now go suns

How is it childish to question your bias? You've made claims that aren't based in reality and once you're asked to support them you want to drop it, but not after throwing an insult in there. That is the exact opposite of childish, right? You're a lost cause.
