Today’s game with the Magic with be a good test of our current state. A win says growth and progress. A loss says the last two contests were nice but no bananas…
Maybe a bit more complicated than that. An ugly win doesn't necessarily say much, but a close loss where we did a ton of things right and very little wrong would probably be a better sign.

All that being said, I would take the ugly win at this point.

Another close 4th quarter loss means we’ve just repeated our bugaboo all season. That doesn’t say progress.

Getting beat by good teams has also been our problem this season. We’re something like 3-11 against teams with a .500 or better record. Getting any win, pretty or ugly, against a division leader is progress.

I knew Eubanks wasn't a good rebounder but I didn't think he was that much worse than Nurk and Udoka. Definitely not a case of small sample size either since he was seeing consistent minutes for the first 25 games or so.

Eubanks is in the wrong era. He's a 90's PF like Tim Kempton, Adam Keefe, Jon Koncack, etc who isn't big enough to be the only big on the floor.

I know I rub some of you the wrong way, I’ve gotten into some dumb debates over the years, and this place can turn upside down at times. But I wanted everyone to know I appreciate the suns board. I appreciate each of you for your contribution to our suns community. And I want to wish each of you the best 2024 as you each define. May we all find a suns championship mid-year!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!

KD and Book must have had a night out on new years. Book looked like crap, the last time I believe they went out and played horribly (i know KD didn't play the Blazers last night) was when they visited Toronto (drake).

I still believe they went out partied on cp3's birthday during the playoffs, and thats when the wheels fell off. Have to have another gear like Jordan and Barkley if you're to be out drinking then playing.

Despite rarely leaving the house for any reason other than medical my wife and I have been battling colds for 10 days now and we still feel like crap. With all the numbers showing a major Covid resurgence it wouldn't suprise me to learn that one of the viruses swept through the clubhouse. It would explain our lackluster play over the past several weeks and the struggles of Devin and KD.

I don't remember if it was Dan Bickley that mentioned this, but he thinks there is a rumor that CP3 partied for his birthday, I mean who wouldn't? He caught covid at his birthday celebrations and brought it back to the team. Since then there was an article or two saying the person that caught covid and tested positive that wasn't identified was actually CP3. Which would explain his play drop off, and how awkwardly the team was acting, and why some guys played worse. Bickley has been digging at this like a dog with a bone. Sounds like a few Suns may have been infected. The loophole was the NBA makes you unavailable if a positive covid case is REPORTED. Ours wasn't reported until after the playoffs was over.

Just conjecture, suppose more than one Suns player had it. Like Booker, CP3, etc. They would have to obviously list them out. That would put a pall over the whole playoffs. Say Dallas advances, but one of their guys got it after the Suns reported? Do they go into the bubble then? I bet the NBA was complacent in that whole deal.

I was just thinking this is probably the least athletic Suns team he’s been on lol.
Well, once you get past the big three and a couple of the rotation players (Allen, Gordon and Eubanks) we're pretty athletic. So when the team is healthy and the game is on the line, the guys watching from the bench can really jump.

After we knocked off the Pelicans it came out that McCollum played the end of that series sick, had covid, I suspect that is how it ended up in our locker room.

What really irked me in the Mavs series was game 4. Paul had one of his "F these refs" games and seemingly went out of his way to foul out. That was a really winnable game that we lost because the Suns played pissed off about the officiating but Paul spent much of the game baiting the refs and then chirping at them.
