In all the Booker bashing, please remember that when he is doubled, more often than not, he has nobody to get the ball to because guys weren't trying to get open to receive it.

It's easy to say he sucks as a point guard, but remember he has to be able to actually make passes--guys have to make themselves available, and we've seen far too many times this season where they simply weren't doing so.
Oh it’s a total failure. The offense should be designed for the four guys to run to specific spots that maximize space so that 3 cannot guard four effectively. Book should always know the sequence of reads once he knows whose guy is doubling him. But make no mistake, books ability to read a trapping defense is slow.

I disagree.

Yeah, Booker needs to be better at beating doubles, but our offense is too often far too stagnant. If they are throwing a double at Booker (or anyone) then the other guys should be moving and forcing the other defenders to react. Doubling is easy, especially in a half court trap, if the other 4 guys are statues and the defenders can basically play "free safety" out there, just waiting for a pass.

They've been somewhat better about it since Beal came back, but it mostly guys moving after a ball handler gets penetration, rather than players running the wings and cutting off the ball.

Didn't they try Point Book several years ago with similar results?

Personally, I'm not trying to bash Booker. Booker is an unbelievable player. I don't think he should be the primary PG and I also have concerns over his big game performances.

The team around him was hot trash. Point Book of 2018 was a failure, but I think the results are rather dissimilar.

We do need another ball handler, we also need an offense that emphasizes movement.

But I think the main issues run far deeper than Booker being the creator.

We lack reliable depth and there are only a couple "plus" defenders on the entire roster. If the defense didn't fall apart in almost every 4th quarter, I don't think "point Book" would be much more than a minor inconvenience.

I don't think anyone is bashing Booker. He is what he is. He's a great shooting guard with some PG skills. But he's not a great PG, he just doesn't read the court quickly enough.

IMO there's usually somewhere around 6 to 10 teams that are happy with their starting PG and the rest are looking to upgrade the position. Booker is good enough to start at that spot but he'd be in the need to upgrade group. And it's made worse because having him at the point keeps us from having him at the 2 where he can dominate regularly.

This season stinks. I want to go back to 05’ and live there permanently:

Although it was not unexpected, if watching injury reports is a prerequisite for following the Suns, the next several seasons are not going to be a lot of fun.

IMO, it's a shame how this team has been built, which includes the coaching staff.

Now, one can only hope the Suns can make some trades or signings using of a little bit of nothing and everyone gets healthy around playoff time, err, play-in time.

I don’t understand what you disagreed with?

The Suns are the worst scoring 4th quarter team in the league by more than a full point through 36 games, averaging 24.6 points each 4th quarter. Second worst is Portland at 25.8 and Indiana is best at 32 points per 4th. So much for a historic offense, at least in a positive manner.

Seeing that gives me virtually no hope for the players. Teams dont just flip a switch and become clutch.

Normally I would agree if the Suns were a poster child of heath for the entire season. If there is any ray of hope, most teams don't have the injuries the Suns have had either. So, it may not be a case of flipping a switch for the Suns. It's hard to settle into any kind of rotation (especially going into the 4th) when you have to constantly tinker with your rotation down to the bench.

EDIT: PARODY ACCOUNT

If CP3 gets traded and bought out, the Suns will sign him per Frank Vogel.

The above account for Frank Vogel is a parody account.

It is has a blue check mark which means it is a verified account on X.

Sorry for the confusion.

Theyve changed what the checkmark means. It now means a subscriber to X. You pay like $9.99 a month and you can have one too. So now you need to do a little more research and make sure the accounts are who they claim by looking over their bios and past tweets.

Yeah, it's become even more of an adventure on X.

Oh, man. Blast from the past! I used to love going to Pete’s when I was going to ASU before transferring to NAU.
Yeah I've had many a meal from there through the years although it's been awhile.
