Can't trade rookies....would have to wait until the 2nd year of his contract.I asked this question earlier myself.....thinking that Philly could really use BJ.joeshmo, I believe (perhaps Russ Smith, I can't recall) set me straight on this.

I'm pretty sure NFL rules state that once a player signs a contract, he can't be traded for one year. (rookie or not)

Nope.

Bennett just signed a contract with NO a few months ago and was trade only a few days ago.

Might be different for rookies, not sure.

Did I miss the official diagnosis on Ross' injury? How long is he expected to be out? I have heard 3-4 weeks and maybe as long as 10. Anyone know of a timetable more definite?
