Imagine the highlight reel you could put together of Chuck Cecil, Adrian Wilson, and DJ Swearinger if he pans out. Eep.

All massive hitters, but I have to say Cecil is the one who I actually was worried would fracture his own neck or an opponents. He would intentionally lead with the crown of the helmet. Pretty much became the poster child of how to NOT hit WRs in the NFL.

Can DJ maybe cause TEs to hear footsteps which would help the defense against them?

Swearinger gives us a level of physicality in the secondary that we haven't had, and that is good. However, he isn't the instinctive player that Mathieu was, and is probably not long for this team. Maybe he works out, but if he isn't willing to change a bit to be art of a team, he probably isn't going to get a long term deal frmo a team. Can he fill a role with the Cards the rest of this season? I am sure he can. Will he be with this team next year? i don't know. To me, swearinger has physical ability, but most guys in the NFL do. What I question is if his ability is good enough to make up for the other issues. I don't believe it is personally.

Well put.

He will have to play under control as to not get penalties called on him. Also we need to see how he is in coverage since we already know he can hit. Can he do this? It will determine if he is long term for the team

I must say he was one that ignited the route on the first play of the 2nd half with his forced fumble.

anybody have insight on why Tampa cut him?

I kinda get the Texans exit -- and he wouldnt be the first player helped by a change of scenery -- but why Tampa as well?
