You know what's sad? It's difficult to find one of the best Suns players who spent his entirety career with the Suns.

But practically no one spends their entire career with one team anymore. The Spurs are outliers. Even Michael Jordan finished up with the Wizards.

If Booker remains the franchise player, he should hold the Suns' record for points scored (if not others) by the time he's done.

Even though there is an element of truth (I am ducking away now)

Jackson isnt smart enough to delve into the analysis. His comment was just a very 10,000 feet "good players on bad teams don't count" BS statement he should be embarrassed by.

A smart person (not Jackson) can analyze the concept and find some truth. for example: Russ Westbrook puts up insane numbers, but hes also a total ball hog and his efficiency is terrible. Therefore his stats are misleading. Not to say Russ isnt a great player, but the idea that somebody can dominate on a bad team is not unfounded in some situations.

But thats not the case in this situation, and so Jackson doesnt get that benefit.

That would be perfect. Honestly, that's likely who I would have wanted had we stayed at #2.

If the Suns stay at #4 drafting Jackson may be the likely outcome. Right now I think the Suns are concentrating on trade options. Landing Porzingis would be huge.

Jackson's comment wasn't bad. Was it a good move? No but it's wasn't very pointed and he deleted it right away. I think it shows some competitiveness. He believes he's better than Fultz and that was one way of saying that.

Jackson has done some questionable things (like that kicking the taillight with the woman in the car) but we have to remember his age and have to remember this is a sports team not the boy scouts. As much as we'd like to have everything rolled up in a single player there will always be sacrifices. Plus there will incidents that comes out after a player gets drafted that is unexpected.

For a player like Jackson to fall to us at #4 then of course he'd have some warts. It could be much worse than a tweet saying that it's not hard to put up big numbers on a bad team, let's not forget that he deleted it also. He feels he should be in the same discussion as Fultz at the #1 spot but he hasn't gotten that much hype. He's understandably frustrated by that. I read that was part of the reason he didn't want to go to Boston and didn't want to work out for them, because he felt he should have been taken #1 by them and not end up there in a trade down scenario. He's competitive and thinks highly of his talent.

He said anybody can be good on a bad team. Trying to say Fultz dominance didnt matter because his team sucked.

Not only is that an immature, uncalled for swipe, but its also some moron logic. Fitz was on terrible teams 90% of his career, does that makes him any less of a HOF player? What a *******.
Can't compare hooos and football. In football one player is just part of probably 25 players (offense, defense, and some overlap with special teams) that impact a game. With hoops it's like 8, and the best players play extended minutes so an individual can and SHOULD have a much greater impact on the game in basketball.

this is a sports team not the boy scouts.

Thats a very common argument regarding many instances where somebody does something wrong. Not just sports. And I hate it.
Its as if being a reasonably good person is asking too much.

Nobody said you have to be a boy scout, just dont be a POS.

Dude I know where you are coming from but the league is full of hotheads and you know it. Plus does anyone care if we have a team full of "good guys" with a lousy record?

Barkley pulled some stuff before he arrived in Phoenix and it was forgiven and forgotten because he produced on the floor.

He's a POS for saying that anyone can put up big numbers on bad teams? That's something that many analysts and fans say about NBA players all the time, Kevin Love was considered to be that sort of player and people have tried saying Westbrook's stats are meaningless because his team isn't that good. So what's so different about Jackson saying something similar? He didn't name Fultz specifically either, people reading it made that connection on their own.

No, Jackson just made a stupid immature statement.

My comment on the "well they arent boy scouts" is regarding the general usage of that phrase as a get-out-of-jail card to excuse POS behavior.

Everyone has a price. You will tolerate a lot out of a player if the price is right and he's good enough.

Id be fine with Jackson. I dont think hes a bad kid, hes just got some maturing to do. And thats tough when your entire lockeroom is the same age.

I agree. It's the nature of the beast when the league is drafting younger players and we are putting such an emphasis on youth because teams want to lock in players as long as possible.

Chad Ford @chadfordinsider

Jonathan Isaac 6-11/7-1 wingspan. Kevin Durant 6-10/7-5 wingspan. Again, it’s a major, major difference. And Durant a much better shooter

Thanks.

Yeah everything makes a difference although one factor may not be the difference maker.

I thought Alex Len had a great basketball body but it's not seeming to translate into being a better player. Williams has much less to work with but seems to be the better player.

I'm so hoping it plays out this way, although the bitter Suns fan in me can see Jackson falling to them at #4 and they PASS on him for someone who is more of a one dimension scorer type.
Yes. That could happen.

I know. The Suns in all likelihood will be sitting there #4 with two of these three available... Jackson, Fox or Tatum. If they pick Tatum over Fox or Jackson i'm going to take my ball and go home.

I'm hoping JJ goes third. I think ppl are really overboard on his strengths but we will see in time. I don't want Fox either.

1. Tatum
1a. trade out
1b. Jackson
