1) It was a nice try to start drama. Calm down, bud.

2) The thread was to congratulate the kid. If your thin skin couldn’t handle me having fun with the thread, I don’t know what to tell you. I bust balls and have fun. If that rubs you the wrong way, all I can say it nothing I said was personal or intended to bother people. I’d also add that I don’t live in AZ. All of my friends trash the cards and I hear crap all day. I’ve been excited about McBride since early in the year and been told he was a bust more times than I can count. My cardinal life doesn’t revolve around this board.

He had a good block on Kyler's td scamper.
But he gets blown up against stronger guys on the DL like he did last week. The technique appears to be there and I think he'll get stoenger to be more well rounded. I'm nitpicking right now.

He will get a little stronger but he turns 24 next week so I wouldn't expect miracles.
With his build he is definitely in the receiving TE mold... those guys can crash down on an end but head to head blocking they match up better with linebackers.

I'm just stoked it looks like we found our kittle/kelce/Gronk

Here was part of my draft review comments on McBride, “You’ll like his style. He’s not afraid to go over the middle and he’s very strong at 50/50 balls. He’s a solid route runner who rarely drops throws. I expect the Cards to use 2 TE sets featuring him just to cause coverage nightmares for their opponents. Since McBride has the ability to get separation quickly, time to throw will be less of an issue.” I’ve been yelling for weeks now he needs more targets. He’s a weapon. I was also glad to see Wilson get a few more looks. He needs even more.

So, you start an entire thread to call out just… a couple people… after one of the only times we can all feel good on a Sunday?

Cool.
Yeah, the call out culture on this board is toxic. It is what it is and it usually flows one way.

On McBride, that was awesome to see. He's been up and down this season, but it's great to see the huge upswing. Hopefully, now that he has competent QB play, he continues to rise. And, yeah, hopefully the competent QB play continues.

Wasn’t everyone here pretty much calling for this kid to get reps over Ertz from like Game 1 this season?

Yeah because they thought Ertz was cooked and it was a dead season. Not because they thought McBride was great. LOTS of McBride is a bust talk last year.

I mean, you love crowing on people so it's no surprise you came to this thread to cause more drama in defense of the call out culture, which is toxic to the board.

I'm not surprised you would be touchy about it considering you have probably been McBrides biggest detractor.

This post and the thread below covers both your dismissal of McBride and you calling people out.

Nah, this post, and your earlier ones, make you look silly. Here's a question for the board (and you): What is sillier?

To shout from the rooftops that someone is going to be a solid pro before seeing any evidence of it,

OR

To take a measured approach, wait and see if there is evidence, and then make a rational decision?

Bagging on him as a 2nd-rounder and for making dumb early mistakes in no way assumed he wouldn't become good. As, you know, I and others constantly said. We just wanted to see the positive signs that were very much not present earlier in the season. So, it's nice to see some positive signs, and I'll look for him to keep improving and hopefully start next season.

Ah, yes, I believe this was in response to your...wait for it...weird call out and crowing. Shocker.

Also a shocker: I've been wrong on this board. What? El shocko dismayo! It's happened before and it'll happen again. When a kid looks like a bust, I'll say so. When a kid has a great game, I'll say so--like I did today. I mean, I was all about drafting Anderson and he's not putting up the numbers. Easy to say I was wrong there, too.

Man, if I crowed about it every time you were wrong, it's all I'd post. Difference being, when was the last time you ever admitted you were wrong? Go ahead and list a few. It would be refreshing.

BTW, why'd you bust into two different threads spoiling for a fight? Specifically with me? On this day, the day after one of our only two wins and a lot of positivity? That's why I commented on these threads, aside from the positives of talking about McBride and Murray--wondering about the need for negativity when something good happens. It just seems like we can't have nice things on this board. The minute something good happens, someone has to rub someone else's face in the dirt. It doesn't make for a fun posting environment. So, I ask again, why are you picking fights today?

I guess this isn’t a popular position, but so many opinions are thrown out (many of mine), I think it’s okay to take a victory lap when you called it correctly as along as you admit it when you got it wrong. If you don’t rub it in or use it to attack others unfairly tell us what you’re thinking.

And, still, he was by a mile and a half, the most successful GM the Cardinals had in their Arizona era.
This. I know Keim sucked at the end. But he gave us some good times but I attribute that more to Arians.

Important is to be more cautious with judgements
Not a single game would have to make a definitive statement on a player in one way or another
For example my negative statements on Wilson are made cause the long streak of mediocre performances, and the constant regression

I am genuinely happy Cardinals have a good TE. It goes a long way to help Murray in both pass and run block. If Michael Wilson has the next gear and Murray can go into beast mode for 2 years, this could be fun.

As always prepare to be disappointed. This is your dad's Cardinals.

I agree it's only been a few people who have said McBride sucks. I think the consensus has been that the guy needs touches. He's got real talent.

U mean in his rookie season, cause this season has been always solid when he had the opportunity
I m sure he has the best ratio targets/catches
Plus a lot of yards after the catches, big hurdle and breaking tackles

That's why this next draft is so important. If Murray can stay healthy, I think he can be that guy. I hate the idea of starting over with another QB. If we can get a Marvin Harrison Jr and beef up the lines thru FA and draft, we could be set moving forward.

It's interesting that McBride has risen to be probably the #2 target in the passing game.

Rondale Moore was inexplicably next in line with eight targets in yesterday.

You gotta expect that Kyler will get on the same page with Wilson and Brown sooner rather than later.
