When it comes to this team, I'll take skkorp's word over any "national media types" any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

And even if I didn't, how can any rational person even think that a head coach could preside over a fiasco like this season has been and keep their job?

Amazing. Simply, amazing.

Actually, it's more like a season and a half.

No professional athlete will ever say "I've given up." They'd be blackballed from the league.

I don't know about that....

Do you remember the fall out that Kerry Collins had with the Panthers. He went to his coach and told him that he didn't want to play (basically saying "I give up") and he was cut shortly after that.

obviously a vague statement....but all indications are that there are some pretty big malcontents on this team (given the blowouts it is expected)...just wondering who they are. I could see it for guys who are not under contract next season - but most of our starters will be back (hopefully more than a few will become backups). tough situation if some of the problems are guys who are under contract for next season...

You always hear about locker room chemistry or what ever you want to call it.

I doubt if it's the rookies or free agents as hopefully they're tryin to make some kind of positive impression.

From Wendall Bryant's comments in the paper I'd say he'd be a #1 candidate.

It also may be someone else like him who's had a suckarse season and wants to put the blame on someone else....but suckarse season could apply to just about everyone.

Malcontents must go.

My point is simply.....normally, as sect 11 said, you would expect at least SOME grumbling and finger-pointing at this point. The fact that we are not getting any of it, to me, is unusual and food for thought.

The reason players aren't grumbling is because they don't care. That's the same as quitting. They realize that they are going to be out-coached and out-played.What good is it to criticize and what good will it do.Now,if the team were about 6-7 and battling for the last playoff spot then you would probably hear some complaints about last week's game. That being said, there is no excuse for not going out and at least playing hard.Boldin does it. Why can't everyone else do it? They are getting paid alot of money. Some personal pride of having a job to do would, you would think anyway, come into play. That's one of the reason's i was in favor of an in-seasonon coaching change. The players would be playing for their jobs with the next coach. To an extent they are now because they will be seen on film as dogging it but a new satff usually comes in and gives them a clean slate.
