You heard that too?

I thought I was having an acid flashback.

Please don't let it be true!

They are Fox's garbage announcer tandem who usally draw the Cardinal games. Tim Green is a moron, I belive his comment was:

"Well I heard Bradshaw say it so I'll take as stone cold fact, Mac's job is safe. There are a lot of things wrong with the Cardinals, but in no way is Mac one of them."

We have gotton BLOWN OUT in 9 of our 10 losses. There is NO WAY that the coach doesnt take the fall for that.

Honestly Ryan, its not very hard for them to be stupid.

If the cards ever turn it around, the fringe benefit will be that these buffoons won't have to call our games anymore.

How many weeks now have we had those guys and Green still thinks that McKinnon wears #51?

This is bad info. It was reported by Jude Lacava (a local sports broadcaster for those of you who didn't know) that Mac will be fired at the end of the season.

Personally I trust Lacava's info and sources more than Bradshaw's!

The National Media, going into this season - said that the CARDS with the loss of Plummer and Boston, and other factors - would be hard pressed to be competitive. A point panned by many on this board as so much "crap" from people who knew next to nothing. Well, they were right... so why couldn't they be right about MAC's future with the team. :D

Really when you look at it just stepping aside objectively for a second the theory Mac's job is safe thing is pretty flimsy.

You would have to assume that either they are giving a pass to the whole staff based on some idea that none of this was really their fault or that they had reached an agreement with Mac on who is going to take the hit so he could stay.

The only problem is that whoever goes will be almost impossible to replace since we would then have a lame duck coach.

So to accept that Mac is staying you'd have to believe either they would do absolutely nothing about the staff at all or that they feel they can get quality replacements without extending Mac's contract.

When you look at it that way I will go with whoever said he is gone over anyone else because the other source is obviously smoking crack or ownership is and I sincerely hope they haven't added that problem to the long list we already have.

I don't know if getting rid of Mac is such a good thing.

We all know Mac isn't a good x's and o's coach.

Would I rather have a guy that was yes!!!

But where is there one out there? (obviously I'm not paid to make such determinations)

If you can get a billick, bellicheck, cowher, etc....or get some up and comer then it might be good.

But I don't see those types of guys out there for the taking right now.....I liked Marvin lewis and jack del rio last year, but of course I wasn't calling for macs job.

I don't wanna see mac lose his job for another retread coach like we've done with qb's

We have two good coaches on our team imo, mcginnis, and sullivan.

Except sullivan shouldn't be our oc, he should be our wr coach.

Mac should be our hc.....who delegates the playcalling to TWO good beyond competent coaches....A great oc, and a great dc.

The guys haven't given up on mac...even if it looks bad.

But after these years of losing and them still believing in mac and we let him loose....what happens if potentially next year or the year after we're in the same position with a new coach...then they may stop believing....

What I mean by this is that I think they won't quit on Mac this year....won't next year either....give him some talent..both on the field AND on playcalling and use Mcginnis as he should be used, as a facilitator who can rally the troops and we'll be fine.

I'm not saying we should steadfastly keep mcginnis. But I don't think that if we fire him, we're going to get a guy who is gonna put us in a better position whether you look at it short or long term.

Every personel decision you make should be made (sans cap wise) on the point it will make your football team better. Never make a decision that won't make your team better, unless you are biting the bullet. But we've bit the bullet time after time after time. I think we need stop biting the bullet and start surrounding what we DO have with good/great players and coaches.

No more letting good players get away...No more letting good coahces go. (stallings....national champ in college a year later, don coryell although it was before my time....fassel...some might even say bugel). Lets keep mcginnis as our rah rah guy, and put the people we know can do good....around him....

What we really need is better assistant coaches all the way down the line. Keep Mcginnis, demote sullivan, fire everyone else...our st are a joke, our defense is a joke, our ol after warhop (who most said sucked...and I never disagreed) is halfway a joke, our dl has either underachieved or has been a joke throughout green's tenure.

The one thing that was said on fox (besides bradshaws comments) was that we didn't pay enough to put the right people in position to make decisions on the coaching staff...we'll lets change that.

Ugh, another double digit losing season...hopefully we'll get eli...except if we are behind the raiders we'll never get him...

If we are ahead, we may trade down to avoid a 50-72 mill contract

If we trade down it better be to like number 5-7...so we get another 1st round and a later pick...then we trade down again if it seems no one we want is worth it (too early to tell now) for another first round pick.

If we can get 3 first round picks this years plus another pick later it might be something to smile about....but we need to focus on who will be throwing the ball at the new Cardinals land in 06.

You're probably right...or 90% right in statistical terms.

With three weeks left to go that number might go up.

But as cards fans, most of our threads could be considered silly.

Who will we draft next year....what will our record be...who is our mvp...etc, etc..

When other teams are saying...who will we host in the first round...or the if we win 2 of the next four we should be in the playoffs.....

Of course there is the medium ground with medium type threads

I've always been a die hard fan, and still will be, but quite a bit of the threads that go on here (or any cards site) during the season or during the offseason can be quantified as silly.

Oh well skorp there's always next year....right?

If there is one plus we're preparing for next season by playing our McCown type players now. (he actually didn't look too bad, except my self fulfilling prophecy on the safety that I had a feeling might happen...considering McCown + on the goal line judgement)

Still I'd like to see parsons....and I'd like to see Eli on our team next year...that is if oakland doesn't beat us to him...which I think will probably be the case.

He was gone at least as far back as Cleveland...maybe (probably)even further.

I dunno....I'm not so sure anymore. Why would Bradshaw be so bold as to look right at the camera, on national TV, and say that?

Being on TV doesn't prevent Bradshaw from saying stupid things. Bradshaw really likes McGinnis (as he has made clear the last two years) and may be hearing what he wants to hear about McGinnis.

I think Terry has said a lot of stupid things in the past. That's part of what makes me laugh at him. :)

The one constant on this team over the past few years (besides ownership) has been the coaching staff. It's time to try something else. This is obviously not working.

Skorp and Nidan...yea yea...the thread is titled terry bradshaw is full of it..so it is not exactly like any of us actually believed it..just thought it was interesting that a guy on the most popular NFL program (aside from the actual games) would make such a stupid statement - when it is obvious mac is gone.

so...we all agree
:D
