we're the past two years really that bad? Or we're the two before that really that good and expectations were really high? Because I remember some really bad seasons.. Worse than what we saw last year..

Both. Going 5-11 in a cake division coming off back to back division wins sucked. Not 2003 or 1999 suck, but sucked nonetheless. Then starting off the following year 1-6 wasn't any picnic either.

Agree Shane. I thought Whis really coached a great game and kept the Pats off balance all day. The QB runs and sneaks are something we haven't see them do before and they were effective. Wildcat with PP gained 5+ yards both times. Even had a couple screens. And Roberts in the red zone is becoming a habit (great call again on the goal line with Roberts).

Horton called a masterful game IMO. They never got into a rhythm. I thought our guys on D were a lot more under control this week than last (which I think is a good thing). We have some corners on this team!! Justin Bethel is starting to get noticed IMO.

Coaching staff deserves much credit. Not easy to beat the Pats, especially at home. I thought he out-coached Belichik. We criticize for his halftime adjustments sometimes but today the 2nd half is when we broke it open offensively.

Seriously, Whiz does not get anywhere near enough credit. I cant believe how many people on here regularly dog him. Yes, he sucks at evaluating QBs, but thats where my complaints end.

He is responsible for about 90% of the success the Cardinals franchise has had in the last 70 years. He has done it using rejuvenated castoffs and stiffs at QB. Our team has regularly excelled in close games, which is a big time sign of a strong minded coach.

I thought some people called being strong minded as being stubborn or pig headed

Head coach? Then he won't coach the defense. Head Coach/DC, two totally different jobs with completely different responsibilities. Horton is doing what he does best.

We are 9-2 in the last 11 games, best in the NFL I believe. I have to give Whis some credit for this.

This is the best 6 years of Cardinals football we've ever seen. I love Coach Whiz.

after the terrible season two years ago, then starting last year 1-6, he was on a super hot seat.

But when the team didn't give up and pack it in like I was expecting them too, and most teams would, there is no way you bust up Whis. He may have lost fans (including me) during that 1.5 year crapfest and qb mess, but he never lost the team. In fact, they played their asses off for him. That's so invaluable.

Coaching today all around was great. You're up against a master in Bill...he's playing chess so you can't come out thinking checkers. Whis and Horton were grand masters today.
