Really - I think we won it spite of Whiz not because of him- or his hiring of Mike Miller-
I'm happy for the win but my flowers go to the New England Place kicker-

I appreciate the more balanced play calling- the effort by the players and defensive staff -I want to believe but the truth is the offensive staff make evreything harder than it could be- and the only reason we won the game is because of the missed easy field goal-

But i'm very very happy we won- I was looking through my fingers like a lil kid again - ready to swear them off and turn off the TV - until I think - Well maybe against all hope He'll miss the chip shot field goal!

And He did- Good game Cards - it aint on me - I aint crazy- any team fan- any where- at any time - would be nuts after that crap. i'll take the drama all the way to the playoffs or die trying- But think we win with our talent, and a fundemetally sound game plan- so shoot me.

You can credit Whiz all you want but his game management sucks bad.

In terms of overall I still like the guy when he dosen't brain fart us to death, I can only hope it's because this is his first gig as the head coach and he's learning but this stuff at the end of games is somewhat on him.

He's got to get better at clock management, end of game management isn't that hard, it's really fundamental stuff and should be worked on in practice and if they are working on it they're doing it wrong because time after time we end up in these cliff hangers.

Who died and made you internet God?

:biglaugh:

Just a fact pure and simple. The pitch was executed perfectly. Williams had clear possession heading into the pile. He is the one that refused to cover up with both arms in a critical situation. Had ZERO to do with the pitch! To say otherwise is downright laughable IMHO.

Can't argue with the winning results under Whiz. Would like a more complete team but don't think it is possible with this ownership group and FO. We either have a great O( Warner under center) or a great D ( Great hire of Horton) the players bought in to. Whiz mismanages alot but all and all we are winning games. Last year at 1-6 the Players did not quit on him. That says alot right there. All I want as a fan at this point is Wins..I do not care how we get them and we got a great one today. We will have a dog fight in our division...glad we have the D we have. I can take or leave Whiz as an offensive coach...he does not impress in anyway. I care not, just get Cards fans the wins!!!

One of the good things about winning is that it's easier to look problems in the eye without being overly defensive.

- Until Batiste gets better, we've gotta give him help in pass pro.

- Until Ryan W plays like a vet, do not put him in a position where he may put the ball on the ground. (Or at least warn him in the huddle).

- KK needs to work on his footwork (or whatever causes him to be wild high).

- The blocking whiffs by Heap nearly offset the nice grabs he made.

That said - Great job of game prep by Wiz and staff.

Sheesh, the same old tired refrain. Exactly what would you have done different this off-season? This team is being handled as well as any other team in the NFL right now thanks to the FO. To keep ragging on them is silly.

You are constantly trashed by the Cardinal fandom.

I just want to give you a shout out! You have the franchise in a place many of us long time fans only dreamed. I have faith now that any Sunday we can go out and compete with anyone.

Even with this OL arguably one of the worst ever assembled and mediocre QBs you managed to have this team ready to fight and compete and with a no lose attitude. IMO thats all anyone can ask. The players very much like you and they leave it ALL on the field for you every stinking Sunday.

You are not without fault! But you are by far the best coach this franchise has EVER seen. I for one am happy to have you!

Well said Shane! I never have understood any of the fire Wiz crap peeps here have shouted even in bad times.

Best 4th Q coach In the NFL. The results are unarguable last two years and we were the team that DIDNT have Tom Brady! How we have become 4th Quarter studs with JS and KK in crazy....That's good coaching

My game ball once again goes to the defense. Kolb did not play great but did not make many mistakes. He seems to have fount the heart he lost last year. Campbell & Dockett were definitely guys to resign. Both are potential all pros as is Patrick Peterson. Some posters used to post Cambell could not tackle. I think maybe they were wrong. Job well done to all the team and coaches. Can you imagine us fumble and then them missing the FG all in the last minute. At last someone was on our side. Williams would have a long week had this not all worked out. Should the coach have had the QB take a knee rather than run the ball? I really do not know the answer tot that.

I think you protest to much....I am sure you are ready for a more complete team. The things that hold that back have not changed. I disagree they are being handled as well as any other team by there FO. They got a great win today. That is a step in the right direction. It could have easily been a loss and everyone expected it to be. As they say winning cures everything but don't pretend we have a top notch FO and a top 5 coaching staff. We have a great D and the right guy to run it in Horton. We have the wrong guy at the helm of the Oline and Offense and the FO loves both of them. That is about it. Nice to try and seperate the one negative thing 40 and throw the rest of my post away....this board never changes. I say screw it. WE WON A GREAT GAME TODAY!!

The only correction, That's GREAT coaching.

I guess it's a fans right to question every little aspect of every game, I do it a lot myself.

Whiz isn't perfect but to think he is making blunders in time mgmt. makes me laugh. Dude is playing chess while the rest of us are playing checkers. We are 4 levels below the thinking that goes on at the HCing level and probably 7 levels below what a Billicheck vs Whiz chess match is.

Great thread Shane.

Whiz for King of the Universe.

Hopefully Horton is good with the title Prince. :)

well Whiz could upgrade his OC easily-Somebody made decisions that put us into postion to lose a lead and a game in the 4th 1/4 - just like we have for years- the lerning curve is over- nada not an excuse as Whiz is 42-40 as a headcoach-

Seattle last week and Patriots this week we had 20 points and were in position to lose- I can't be honest and vane at the same time about that.

But the look on Rodney Harrisons face is priceless- Irving won't shut up like my pregrame Yosemite sam thread- but but you can't blame him he's punch drunk.
THEY are more shocked than I am!

Like Bugs said AWWWW Shud up-

Damn, Smel give it a rest already. The Cardinals just beat the best team in the NFL in the past 12 years in their house. It was a great win and the coaching staff did an awesome job game planning and play calling.

Well at least he's only bitching about Wiz & the other coaches this time instead the lack of runs by Beanie/Williams & Leinart getting axed. Usually it's all 3, so he's making progress ;)

Whis is funny sometimes:

Whisenhunt couldn't offer an opinion on that.
"I'm still traumatized by seeing the ball pop out," he said.

Good grief Shane! Haven't you learned anything? Now I'm going to have to be super negative all week to offset you jinxing Whisenhunt. :bang:

From an NFC Conference Championship and then another NFC West Division title to 3-15 to 9-2 and a win on the road as a 14 point dog to an NFL favorite in New England. You gotta love Cardinal football.
