LOL is right... Most here would probably call me a lot of things, but most certainly never a "homer"... that's funny!
If, by providing not one fact to support your feeling that Palmer has been "ineffective" this season and shouldn't be our QB next season, is your attempt to "convince" me - uh, ok... I guess...

A Palmer homer, not just an overall Cards homer, if you weren't sharp enough to catch that on your own. You were probably just trying to obfuscate some more, though.

I don't have to convince you, because your opinion has less than no impact upon what I care about--the Cards. You, on the other hand, have certainly "convinced" me Palmer will definitely, without a doubt, how-can-I-think-otherwise, be effective next season. If by, you know, merely saying it over and over again is a convincing argument.

Why are you nagging me? Just to read your own words on the screen? I'd managed to have a nice conversation with a few other posters, before you started trolling.

What I'm reading is that Palmer's a teflon QB that can do no wrong lol I mean, I think he'd chuck 10 INTs in a game, and many posters would find he had no fault in any of them. Wow!

Stout no disrespect intended, but exactly how many games have you watched? I know you usually only watch those that are nationally aired or the ones In your market. Because reading the game day thread and forming an opinion is not going to get it done. At the beginning of the year CP arm looked "off" to me, and maybe he wasn't healthy, but lately he been throwing darts. His arm strength is not in question IMO.

It's not just me though... plenty of others in this thread of called you out and you continue to not respond... so when all of the facts completely discount your opinion, you simply look the other way??
For the record, earlier this season I was critical of Palmer as it is very apparent that he, more than other Qb's like Russell, Rodgers, Big Ben and a few others, requires everything around him to be 100% perfect in order to create sustained success. The old adage is true - that QB's take way more of the blame in losses and too much of the credit in wins... However, particularly at this stage of his career, Palmer needs at minimum, a decent oline and NFL caliber WR's... When he has those things, as we saw last season for instance, he can produce at Pro Bowl levels...
I don't see Palmer as a Hall of Fame QB... But he has been anything but "ineffective" this season - as you stated previously in this thread. And I see no reason why he couldn't come back in 2017 and continue to produce at least at his career norms. Which, if BASK can fix the holes throughout the rest of the team, should be good enough to have this team in contention for the division crown...

I've seen more than were nationally televised, but not all of them.

You make a decent point here, Wisconsin. Perhaps it was health and not merely age that affected him early. I'll hope that's the case, because, regardless of my opinion, I think the Cards are rolling with him next season.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is true. My concern is that down the road there will be no replacement for him. I fear they will turn to Stanton who becomes a FA in 2018 and will be 34 years of age and they will throw money at him even though he probably would garner very little interest on the open market. The only realistic FAs in 2018 are Stafford and Garoppolo. You know Oakland will throw the bank at Carr so he's going no where unless he decides eh wants to leave Oakland and even then they can Franchise him.

Damn right they're rolling with him Stout. After the disastrous transition periods following the Lomax, Plummer, and Warner eras, I'm really disappointed that you haven't learned that a very good QB in the hand is worth two in the bush!

Pasch and Wolfley were both making the point during the broadcast today (while I was driving to Grandma's house) that Palmer was much better the second half of the season compared to the first. They said they didn't know why, maybe he was hurt, but they both agreed that was the case.

The guy was nails today. He made a huge statement going into the offseason that he can still be the man at QB next year.

Palmer rules haters drool.

Dude is tough/tuff. Doesn't whine and never looks befuddled or out of sorts. Simply keeps on grinding and typically makes clutch throws when it's needed.

His arm strength is top notch and his accuracy is excellent.

Oh, and he is 3-0 in Seattle which is amazing and historic.

Palmer was fantastic yesterday and now is 3 - 0 in Seattle. He is as tough as any player in the NFL and simply brushes away any negatives that happen and gets back to work.

We are very lucky to have him as our QB.
