Idk guys on this board told me he was slow and a cancer.

The owner wanted Buddy Hield even Vlade said he had better offers on the table that's a shame hopefully we can get him this off season
I do not know why the Anthony Davis and DMC connection has not worked. I thought the Pelican team record would be better than it is. I am not sure who to blame? Coach? GM?

If we can get him in the off season that is fine.

I'll admit I was WAYYYYYYY wrong about Lauri and if @AzStevenCal wants to come back and shove six pounds of crow down my craw, I deserve every bit he can cram in there!

In yet another loss... I don't know what to make of him, but I don't see him and Davis going anywhere.

I still suspect he is a cancer.

History has shown when you have dominate post guys you need to surround him with shooters. That team is GARBAGE, well not garbage I mean like half the team is hurt right now.

But cousins wasn't what they needed they needed to AD shooters and they have failed to build a team around him before cousins and they'll fail now just not a good organization

He was awful. One of the worst performances I have ever seen.

I watched the Warriors game before that but decided not to watch the Lakers game. I figured he'd have defensive issues against either of Portland's guards but sure didn't expect him to be a non factor on offense too.

What's amazing is he was +10 in the game, the highest mark on the starters. Shows you how limited that stat is.

I like Rondo and he could help the Pelicans a lot. I know Cousins endorsed his signing so that should help in terms of chemistry. He's a great passer who should help Davis and Cousins score but who knows if that'll be enough for them to win. If they had a couple of knock down shooters then they could be contenders but in the 5 years that Davis has been there the shooters they've had have struggled to stay healthy and then they traded the best shooter they had left in Buddy Hield to bring in Cousins.

I think it's interesting that Houston hired D'Antoni and achieved some regular season success right away with 2 key players from New Orleans that played with Davis in Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson. They had Alvin Gentry take over as coach for the 2015-16 season and he's very familiar with the 7 Seconds Or Less D'Antoni system since he ran a similar version of that here after D'Antoni went to New York. I don't think it's something that would work with both Davis and Cousins but it could have worked with the team they had in his first year if they could stay healthy. No starter played more than 64 games in 2015-16 season and that was Omar Asik, Jrue Holiday played in 65 but only started 23, Tyreke Evans played in 25 games, Eric Gordon played in 45 games while starting 44 of them, and Davis played and started in just 61 games. They had 42 different starting lineups throughout that season utilizing 20 different players, that's got to be close to an NBA record, heres a link to view them. It wasn't a situation like the Suns or 76'ers where they're really young or tanking either but that they've just can't stay healthy. His second year there wasn't much better but at least they had the Cousins trade to account for some of the lineup changes, they had 13 different starters and 28 different starting lineups. If they don't make the playoffs this year then Gentry will be out of a job for sure.

I'm not sure if Gentry would be a good fit for this Suns team or not but I wouldn't be against giving him a look in the offseason. That is if he has any interest in returning to Phoenix. His firing was overshadowed by the hiring of Lindsey Hunter and Majerle's departure so I don't know if there is any bad blood. He was fired by the Blanks/Babby front office though and with McD in place that might open the door for a return. I know he hasn't succeeded in New Orleans but I can't blame him after looking over their roster, it's poorly constructed and plagued with injuries. If Majerle is hired as head coach though I'd like to see Gentry come with to help him as a rookie head coach for his first year. Watson had Bob Hill for his first year as head coach, or half season, when he took over for Hornacek. Hill was brought in as an experienced head coach to help Watson find his way being an NBA head coach and ultimately helped him get the job full time instead of just being the interim head coach. Hill was brought in after Hornacek was fired also so his hiring was specifically to help Watson and I think any rookie head coach needs an experienced vet that can show them the ropes. Once Hill left after that half season is when Watson started looking worse and worse. I'm not for hiring Majerle but I'm not against it either, with Gentry as an assistant I could be convinced it was the best move available though.

Buddy Hield is not good.

No to Gentry.

@Poop Head

I don't want to look back. Gentry had his chance in Phoenix and I have grown fond of the idea of playing defense.

And yes Rondo will help the bigs get easier shots. He doesn't have an outside shot though.

Its a pretty good case for not starting rookies or if you do, keeping their minutes limited. Its hard to maintain NBA level effort for lots of minutes, especially as a rookie, because they have not developed the wisdom to be efficient with their effort--especially on defense.

Hield is shooting .257 on threes this year... of course, playing for Kings can result in depression...

57 points by Lebron James against the Wizards. The Wizards smack talk about being the best in the east should just stop.

Wizards have proved nothing yet. Yeah after year they never live up to expectations.

Why do the Wizards talk so much. It's just beyond me. To me it just seems like deep in there hearts they know there not good enough and there trying to pump themselves up

it's telling that going 3-15 with 7 assists is a significant improvement from your prior game.

it's a learning process. There were probably 4 drives last night where in college Lonzo is shooting FT's from the contact but in the NBA they don't reward you with calls for jumping into a defender that goes straight up. You could hear Walton encouraging Lonzo to keep attacking, next he has to learn how to do so and finish, without expecting the refs to bail him out with a foul call. Getting stronger will help there too he'll be able to take that contact and make the shot.

Another terrific game from Kuzma, there's a lot to be said for being 22(and a half) and having played 3 years of college ball to prepare you for the NBA. If the draft were tomorrow Kuzma would be a top 10 pick.

I should add I think they should still start Lonzo, the Lakers are not a now team they're a future team and it makes sense to play the young guys and see what they have. What's fascinating to me is Randle, Ingram and Ball were all such high picks but so far Kuzma is better than any of them. The more I watch Ingram the less impressed I am, he just seems to have zero interest in doing anything but scoring, he doesn't rebound at all for a guy with his length.
