'Looks something like the hair the board gave to Poop Head, doesn't it? :)
I saw that in real life. He did not get any playing time in that game, but it clearly was a hindrance to his play.

How about waiting at least half a season before calling players busts or not? I can't believe how quickly that term is thrown around now. It does work the other way also, occasionally, like how Lonzo Ball was heaped with praise after recording his first triple double despite lackluster numbers in all of his other games. Meanwhile Ben Simmons is looking like a lock for Rookie of the Year but he's not getting much credit nationally.

I don't think I've ever seen a shot more broken than Lonzo's

Joel Embiid puts up a line of 46pts, 15 reb, 7 ast, 7 blk against the Lakers.

Ben Simmons puts up a line of 18 pts, 9 reb (Embiid stole one from him), 10 ast, 5 stl in same game.

76ers fans are lucky.

So. Did Embiid’s two years off help him? I am convinced that part of the problem with modern NBA is that players just come in too soon. Their bodies are not ready.

Maybe one year in the GLeague should be a requirement for one and doners. JJ would be benefitting and the stigma would be gone if it was required for all. Some might stay in college an extra year.

After 2 years off he then went and missed 51 games the following season... it's going to take a lot more to convince he is built to last.

I'd rather have Randle than Favors. Favors has had several years now to develop into the player he was supposed to be, and it hasn't happened.

I'd rather keep Monroe than go after Favors. He's not a long term answer at PF, the only reason he plays there now is because Utah has Gobert. Just about any other team would play him at Center and Monroe brings a lot of the same skills to the table. Favors is only 1 year younger than Monroe but he's had a number of injuries while Monroe has been relatively healthy throughout his career. In addition to that, we already have Monroe.

Do we have Monroe beyond the end of the season?
We would have his Bird rights, so we could go over the cap to sign him. But since we are under the cap, it doesn't really help.

One idea would be to let Monroe to negotiate with other teams now--sort of, wink, wink. Let him find the team where he would like to go as a FA, and sort of do what amounts to a sign and trade now. That team could use Bird Rights to resign him later, have him now for the playoffs, and give us something for our trouble.

But if he is interested in being here after this season, I am all for considering that.

Lebron averaging 29/8/8 on 58%/40%/76% in his 15th season.

The first time I heard about Lebron I was listening to the radio in my car thinking no one can be this good.
He has been this good but I think on the right teams he could have even been better.

I don't think it's his teams so much as his coaches. If he was willing to play for a coach instead of trying to be the coach, gm, and superstar of whatever team he plays for he would have more titles at this point. Spoeslstra is the best coach he's had who is just above average.

He has too much responsibility to be coached that much. There's not much a coach can do besides manage the other players.

Michael Jordan was coachable because he didn't have to carry the load as much. Scottie Pippen was the best defender on the team and lead them in assists in every one of their championship seasons. Jordan could focus on scoring in the Triangle but didn't need to dominate every facet of the game at all times.

If there's one thing Lebron could improve it's being more likable to teammates. Kyrie got sick of him and Wade/Bosh did too at the end.
