I think it's pretty good because of Ayton's

I'd throw the max at Harris. Sure it's an overpay, but he would be really good with the Suns current makeup.

I'm skeptical he'd come here, but I'd throw the max at him as well.

He's roughly the same size as Warren (who has NOT worked as a power forward), BUT he:

a) is a proven three point shooter
b) plays much better defense (not a strength, but much better than Warren)
c) is not a black hole on offense (2.7 apg vs. 1.5 for Warren)
d) Pulls in twice as many rebounds as Warren in similar minutes (7.9 vs. 4.0)
e) is established, but won't turn 27 until this summer.

He would be my top target at the 4 if the Suns don't luck into the #1 pick. Then, you either take Morant or trade the pick and Warren for a real-life NBA starting point guard.

"2021 unprotected 1st via Miami" -- that's the Dragic/Suns pick, right?

Yeah. It got Philly the perfect addition for a stretch run. His value was limited, however, by the fact that he'll be an URFA this summer and will likely command a max to near max contract.

The 76ers want a big four. If they can keep Butler and Harris in free agency they win this trade in a landslide.

Plus they have the tools to make noise in the East this season.

Love the fit of Harris with Simmons and Embiid. I'd have several concerns with committing long-term to Butler tbh

Clippers go from potential playoff bound to retooling. Maybe making way for Leonard.

This is an interesting development. I wonder if they're listening to offers for their PGs. They now have Shamet, SGA, Pat Beverly, Teodosic and both Avery Bradley and Lou Williams as combo guards.

Man that's a lot to give up for Harris. He's but he's a role player not a star.

I wouldn't.

A. We would have to renounce Oubre and we would have zero cap flexibility for years.
B. He is not worth the max

Wow, I think it's a steal. He's more than a role player IMO unless you think there are only stars and role players. And if you do, he's much closer to star than your average role player. The Philly pick they gave them will likely turn into 2 second rounders as it's top 14 protected through the 2022 draft after which it converts to a pair of useless picks. The Miami pick is basically the only thing of value they receive in this deal and who knows what the Heat will be in 2021.

There are so many rumors floating around -- Utah dangling Rubio and Favors for Mike Conley for example -- that we might see a lot of disgruntled players, maybe not in the next day, but certainly in the summer. So not only will there be a huge free agent boom, but there could be some trades going that we didn't expect as well.

So far this deadline, we've had Porzingis and Tobias Harris on the move -- we usually don't see big trades like that at the deadline. Usually smaller, role player trades instead.

I'm a Tobias Harris fan as well. Personally I like him more than Blake Griffin.

A good move by the 76ers in my opinion.

Ok the protection makes much more sense but if it was straight up 2 first round picks him no thanks. I like him but let's be real this is his 5th team and being traded so many times means yes people do want you it also means teams feel they can live without you. He's a good player

If your Philly your pretty much giving up a 1 but your think your time is now.

So Philly is looking to move Fultz.

Ellington and the Bucks pick for Fultz actually works and makes sense for Philly I guess. Not sure I would do that because I am not sure if Fultz is beyod repair or simply need time like D'Angelo Russell to grow up.

The Bucks pick is basically a second rounder. We were going to cut Ellington anyway. The only cost in such a deal is the lost cap space this summer.

No it is not.

1. No first rounder is "basically a second rounder". It's an urban NBA myth that the first pick in the 2nd round is more valueable than the last pick in the first round. People often claim this because the 2nd round contracts dont have to be guaranteed but it simply not true. No team has ever traded a late first for a early second straight up. The contract advantages of a first round pick are far greater than any 2nd rounder.

2. The Bucks pick is a top 7 protected 2020 pick or unprotected 2021 pick and Bledsoe and Middleton are free agents this year.

mmm I wouldn't have thought that the Wizards could get expiring contracts for Porter but I guess it is a pretty decent deal for the Bulls.

I was speaking generally, in that it is going to be a very very late first rounder. Argumentative much? Good grief, I can't even agree with you without you arguing.
