Upon further review, you are correct. Just went downhill from there.
i really liked the second one, but i agree with you on the third. that movie was an epic disaster.

I never bothered watching #2 or #3. I don't know what it is. Mostly, it is Kursten Dunst I think. And something about Doc OC just wasn't right to me. Something about the whole thing wasn't right to me.i really liked the second one, but i agree with you on the third. that movie was an epic disaster.

AM was too pasty or something. I think the whole thing just wasn't villiany enough. Kind of like my reaction to Iron Man. I guess I am too old or something.that's too bad. the second one was better than the first. I liked Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborne, but wasn't crazy about the Green Goblin. Alfred Molina was great as Doc Ock.

Looks "too serious" as well. Spidey is a wise-cracking hero. Didn't get any of that vibe from this trailer...
That was my thought as well and High School Pete looked like outcast/outsider Pete not the nerd from the comics.
Indeed.
Also, isn't this just a re-boot? Who doesn't know the story. How can it be untold?

Gotta say, this poster sucks. Not doing anything to squash my fears of how bad this movie is going to be. Also, isn't this just a re-boot? Who doesn't know the story. How can it be untold?
Just playing Devil's Advocate (because I agree that Superman and Spider-Man should never be dark films): Spider-Man is the opposite of dark, but Parker isn't. Parker is bullied at school. Parker is an orphan. Parker has a an uncle that raised him as his own ... but he's dead and Parker blames himself for it. Parker struggles to make ends meat for he and his aging aunt. Parker has a secret that weighs on him.How are they gonna make Spiderman dark? He's the opposite of dark ...
Spiderman has always been the silliest superhero. Constant catchphrases, silly retorts, funny lines to kids.

Parker IS kind of dark. Spider-Man is his release.
Webb will have a pretty hard time convincing a whole lot of people that it was actually necessary to "reboot" the franchise. But who cares? If you like Spider-Man, here’s a new one, and it stars Andrew Garfield being all pissed off, shoving bullies into lockers and beating up cops and drop-kicking lizard-men in the chest, and generally looking like a pretty convincing tortured ass-kicker. Also, at one point Garfield is hanging out shirtless with Stone, so maybe Peter Parker gets laid more this time?
Much better trailer. Still unsure about how this movie will turn out but this trailer was a huge step in the right direction.
