This is well on the way to being a total disaster. I certainly hope not, but......

What are you basing that on? There's almost no information about what's up with the next film. Rami is not the only person in Hollywood capable of making a good Spider-Man movie...in fact he's only 2/3.

(500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb will direct Spider-Man 4. His background is mostly music videos...

Jim Sturgess (21, Across the Universe) is rumored to get the part of Spidey.

I have a really bad feeling about this. Sometimes it's good to let things be for awhile before coming back to it (a la Star Trek). I really liked the first 2 films and they are very fresh in the mind right now. I think it's too soon to reboot and this could be a disaster.

Ditto.... I'd rather see the franchise go dormant for a decade or so before rebooting (if they reboot at all). Leave this one alone for now......

I see he's in his mid-20's...Does this mean the story now continues after S3, or are they still going to go back to PP's high school days?

Yes, another reason for me to continue not watching the Spidey movies.

Emma was born in Scottsdale and was in a ton of Valley Youth Theatre productions.

She's now known as a redhead, was a brunette in Superbad, and is actually a natural blonde.

She'll make a good MJ.

She is a terrible Mary Jane IMO. So, I have not kept up with this. Is this a complete reboot?

wasn't sure about Andrew Garfield but after having Never Let Me Go and The Social Network, kids got pretty good acting chops. He might be able to pull of Peter Parker after all.
