I just read an interview with Whedon and he confirms Hulk will be a major character in this Avengers. Which is cool because it seems universal that the Hulk was finally done right in the Avengers. It seems Whedon is giving fans more of what they want while still doing an Avengers sequel.

It's definitely not. They are just now trying to work out a deal of some sort and this was filmed some time ago. Plus those don't mesh with the current X-men and it appeared to be a weapon of some sort or possibly arrows like you said.
