I am really lukewarm on this pick.

With the issues on the Oline and need for a pass rusher it's hard to accept a WR with our 1st round pick especially since we have no 2nd.

We totally should have taken Reiff instead of Floyd, just like when we took Levi Brown over Adrian Peterson. Because you know.....need and all that.

How many of you REALLY believe Doucet is a legit #2 WR. We have just made him a GREAT #3.

Our weapons on offense are probably the best in the West especially if Williams returns from his injury. Fitz, Floyd, Wells, Williams, Housler,Hyphen, Doucet and Roberts.

This kid is no waffle hands Bryant Johnson. We have just taken all excuses away from Kolb and Skelton He has 2 wr that he can literally throw jump balls to.

Is the oline a cause for concern? Yes. There is still 6 more rounds and some free agents to still address that.

One other thing to think about ...if ANYTHING happens to Fitz for any stetch of time where the hell would be then?

Totally.

I don't think horrible pick should even be an option. Floyd was BPA and he fills a need. I get that some aren't sold on the pick, and that's cool; but, to say it's a horrible pick at this juncture is kinda premature, IMHO.

Hey Bobble Head Girl. Did you see the look on Floyd's face as he came out onto the stage? When is the last time, if ever, you saw a kid look that happy to be drafted by the Arizona Cardinals? Compare that to the look Blackmon had when he was selected by the Jags. Night and Day.

I think we got ourselves a player.

One of, if not thee, best posts of the day.

Doucet has been a board bitch for a while. I doubt many saw him as a legit number 3, let alone a #2.

I like the way our offensive is shaping up, especially with Beanie's play last year and Williams coming off injury (hopefully). Yes, the oline is still a concern (hell, when hasn't it been), but we have other rounds to address that need. And, while I don't think Kolb or Skelton is necessarily our QB of the future, I think having some good offensive weapons at WR and RB and providing some support on the oline in the later rounds will give us some good tools to work with going into camp.

We can have the greatest WR's there are but if the QB's not upright or running for his life they're as useless as useless can be. How do you think Kolb got that concussion that kept him out half the season?

Bobble head girl, lol! (Still have that prominently displayed on my shelf!)

He sounded real happy, too. How could he not with Fitz being his mentor?

I like that we have a legit #2 WR to draw coverage off of Fitz.

Personally, I am going off the assumption that Skelton starts the season and that the Cards address the oline in the later rounds and through other means.

Hell, Larry had an AWESOME year last year and who was throwing to him? Who was blocking? It can only go up from here.

The pick was two-fold, IMO. One, he's a very talented player with a similar skillet to fitz, so he should be able to maximize his potential as a pro under his tutelage. Second, it rained on the rams parade; you know they were hoping to be able to get him at 14.

I may not have selected Floyd if I were running things, but you can't say the pick is without a lot of merit.

He's not a bad player, I just don't understand why this team refuses to address the OL - not that signing the 49ers castoff who they didn't want anymore isn't a great upgrade.

I have to disagree. Easy enough to go back and find the posts touting Doucet as a legit #2. Just a short while ago he was "having as good a year as Boldin and Breaston". He was in the top 60 in receptions. He was one of the tops in the NFL in 3rd downs converted to first downs. How soon we forget.

Amnesia is a requirement on ASFN. It doesn't matter what was said before - if the Cardinals do it, it's a great move. Until it isn't.

Must have missed those posts. I recall many hating on Doucet and calling him fragile. Perhaps I am going back farther than you.

Personally, I thought he did well last year. Too many people remember the one or two plays that weren't made.

:bang::bang::bang:Really dislike the pick.Cards had a chance to get either a very good OT or one of the best OG prospects in years. So what happens..a freaking WR.:bang::bang::bang:

There are plenty of Tackles that are starting in the NFL that were drafted in or after the third round.

And we're virtually guaranteed to get one! Yes, let's go into the season with faith at RT. Backed up by Brandon "Arena League" Keith.

Yeah there were tons of plays where he had 5 seconds to throw.

So Kolb or Skelton wasnt guilty of holding on to the ball for far to long last year? That wasnt an issue and new QB coach was just fibbing about in in his interview a few months ago?

Just checked the video again, I was wrong it was 4 seconds and still locked on to the same receiver the whole time.

I would be in favor of us trading next years number one to move up right now and take Cordy Glenn.

Floyd,DeCastro,Ingram,Kirkpatrick. All of them very even as to talent and NFL future. Larry wanted Floyd. So given 4 equal choices you go with the one that keeps Fitz happy. A no brainer.
