I heard the IMAX screening had computer sync issues about 40 minutes in and they all had to leave and return the next night.

I enjoyed Dark Night quite a bit, and was definitely blown away by Ledger's performance. I certain wouldn't call the movie legendary or anything like that. Batman's voice just flat-out killed half of his scenes for me. It's a movie I'd watch maybe once a year, if that, if someone else suggested it.
Great. This will go soooo well with my conversational hearing loss
Am I the only one that just doesn't want to re-watch TDK again because of that ridiculously ******** voice Bale uses? I mean, every time I think of watching it, I hear that stupid voice. Nolan should have pimpslapped him until he stopped that.
If Bale ruins it with his voice again, it won't matter how good it is. I re-watched TDK once, and found it almost unwatchable. And given how good the other parts are, that's crazy. I don't see how Nolan can let him do the one thing that everyone in the world hated all over again.
reports are that after the press screening, the movie got a standing ovation and little critic blurbs are RAVING about this sucker. Saying Nolan has somehow not only made a great follow-up to TDK... but has OUTDONE it. I have such a hard time believing this is possible, but man if it is, I can't wait to see what the hell he's pulled off. Trying to keep my expectations down and keep myself from reading reviews laden with spoilers. gonna be a long two-weeks till this sucker opens!
if this is even half as good as what early reviews are saying, Nolan officially joins the pantheon of Spielberg/Cameron as the master-showmen of cinema.
I just dont see how this movie will be good with catwoman in it. Great a woman kicking ass....why not robin?
The more I see, the worse this looks.
Apparently Bruce Wayne starts the movie crippled, based on his fight with the Joker and has quit being Batman. WTF?
Another rumor I've heard (in this thread maybe?) is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character actually becomes Nightwing at the end of the movie. But that is pure rumor. The end is completely ambiguous--my old friends that work on the Batman property at the studio got the script months ago, but without the last 30 pages, so they don't even know what happens.OK, well it would be sort of cool if they are alluding to Batman having another confrontation with Joker.
Although if I had one criticism of Nolan is that I think he is chicken s#$# when it comes to Robin. I saw an interview where he talked about in his vision Robin is still a few years away but when pressed he really didn't have an answer. I think he is just scared of the "cheese" factor of introducing a side kick.
I personally think he could do it and nail it. Some of the more modern designs of Robin I have seen or more in line with Nolan's vision IMO. It's all about the writing and Nolan has done a freaking awesome job. At the very least he should give a nod to the character or open up the possibility by the end of the film.
Also I have said my peace about ANOTHER villain finding out who the hero is....it's just tired.
This is lame if this is true because Tim Drake's Red Robin would be ideal in Nolan's universe.Although if I had one criticism of Nolan is that I think he is chicken s#$# when it comes to Robin. I believe it was rumored the JGL becomes a version of Azrael, the guy that took over for Batman while he was crippled in the Knightfall comic series.
