An update on the Durant sweepstakes. The Heat are reportedly the most determined team per Adrian Wojnarowski.

There is speculation that was a Nets leak to try and get the Suns to offer more. Also, the Nets allegedly are telling everyone that no single team trade is going to work because no team can meet the asking price.

Sounds like BS to me.

I think James Jones might actually be holding firm.

There could be some truth to this part of the rumor. A straight up trade might be difficult. However, I don't think the Suns should chase after a trade after giving their best offer.

So is this deal dead or what?

There is not any movement in the NBA on many fronts. I can't remember waiting for so many deals, especially big deals, to get done.

It's hard to remember when twitter has been so silent.

KD should "rumble" about returning to the Warriors because his window is closing here

for our sake, i hope the Warriors do, stupidly, sacrifice their future viability for a Durant boost now that will probably fade with an injury next season anyway

but i do believe, as i've said, that Durant really doesn't want to play with Kyrie anymore, despite his polite public statement

If Ayton signs the Indy deal, it makes a KD deal very difficult.

Bridges, Crowder, and Saric match the salaries, but it is unlikely we could put together a package of picks that would be attractive enough.

As has already been said, it depends on how much pressure KD puts on them to go to the Suns.

Depends on Durant. If he goes full Harden or Ben Simmons those three guys with a buttload of picks might be best they can do.

And if we’re signing Ayton anyway, KD’s salary won’t be any more on the cap than those salaries combined.

If we can somehow pull that off we’re looking at:

CP3
Booker
Cam J
Durant
Ayton

Cam Payne
Bizmack
Shamet

As our top 8. Maybe we throw a chunk of change at LaMarcus Aldridge. The bench is WEAK but that starting lineup isn’t just good… it’s potentially all time great.

Buyout guys come to play for that team during the season.

Why am I doing this to myself?

ha. I know why. I did it for years. Not going to let it happen to me again.
